Tiki Tiny House at Volcano, HI

This secluded tiny house is just minutes from the National park. Beautiful features, inside and out. Test out tiny house living while you enjoy Hawaii. Spacious enough for families: with 1 queen and 2 full-size beds (sleeps 6), but also cozy and beautiful for any romantic couple wanting a getaway. We provide the best mattresses money can buy for your perfect night sleep, and soft bamboo sheets that will make you not want to get out of bed in the morning.

Enjoy some coffee or hot chocolate on the lanai and admire the picturesque greenery of the ohia trees, huge ferns, tea leaves, banana trees, liko lehua, as well as beautiful flowers, and listen to the native birds and other wildlife. We provide a book with all the amenities of the house and with things to do in the area to make your stay easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. We are also always close by for anything you may need.

Enjoy great WiFi, free Netflix and Disney Plus, a fully equipped kitchen pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. (with full-sized appliances) for eating in, washer and dryer, dehumidifier, umbrellas, towels, shampoo, liquid body soap, and 2 showers. For those wanting a breathtaking shower experience, enjoy our outdoor private rainwater shower among the rainforest ferns. We try to combine our love for nature with spoiling you with every amenity we can think of.

We pride ourselves to give you a 5-star experience just a few minutes from the National Park, Lava tube caves, Restaurants, hiking, shops, art galleries and craft venues, Sunday morning farmers market, and golf. Just a little further and you have Green and Black sand beaches with turtles, Akaka Falls, Botanical Gardens, helicopter, and boat rides. At night spend some time stargazing on Mauna Kea summit or just there at the house. We promise to do everything to make your visit both memorable and enjoyable.

The Tiki Tiny House is situated on a quiet street with little traffic. The house is located in the town of Volcano, which is close to three thousand feet in elevation, so it does get a bit colder up in this area (temperatures sometimes dropping to the low fifties (F) at night). The southeast part of the Big Island does get a decent amount of rainfall, so it is normal that you encounter some showers at some point throughout the day. Volcano Village is only five to ten minutes away and has a couple of general stores, a hardware store, a gas station, and several great restaurants and cafés. There are also a couple art galleries and even a winery. Every Sunday there is also a farmer’s market held in Volcano Village where you can buy local produce and more. Volcanoes National Park is also extremely close, where you have access to a discount price gas station, a restaurant, unique hiking trails, a view of the active volcano, and even a bowling alley! The park is open 24hrs, so you may enter at any time. The best time to see the active volcano is definitely after dark on a clear night. The closest airport near Volcano is in Hilo, which is about 40 minutes away. Kona also has an airport on the other side of the island, but it is about two hours away. The nearest beaches are about a forty minutes drive from Volcano. A favorite is the Black Sand Beach on the south portion of the island. The southeast part of the Island has so much to see. Definitely have a rental vehicle available to catch a glimpse of all the gems this side has to offer!

Tropical Jungle Paradise
This adorable tiny house is surrounded by lush plants and trees creating a beautiful, tropical setting. Every morning, birds sang as we had our breakfast on the porch, and every evening, coqui frogs serenaded us to sleep! There is no traffic on this quiet street, only neighbors out walking their dogs and a few chickens dropping by to say ‘Good Morning’. The few minor issues we had were addressed immediately by the kind and helpful housekeeping / maintenance staff. The location was perfect for a quick run up to Hilo to the Farmers Market or a visit south to see the turtles basking in the sun on the black sand beach. Volcano National Park is less than 10 minutes away, making the Tiki Tiny Hose ideal accommodations for visiting there. I would highly recommend this tiny house to anyone seeking a huge Hawaiian tropical getaway!

Fun experience
We were looking for a place for a family of four, and I had to book when I found a "Tiny House". My wife is a HGTV junkie and we've seen a lot of the Tiny House shows. It would have been a tight fit for 6, but still doable. The outside itself is really nice. We had dinner outside. The outdoor shower was interesting. A word of advice for anyone travelling to Volcano - bring food. Grocery and restaurant options are very, very limited. Tiki Tiny has a complete kitchen.

This was a perfect place for our family of four. Had all the needed necessities and space. The location was pure perfection! The volcano even erupted during our stay adding to the excitement of our trip. Volcano 🌋 is beautiful and held the ideal back drop to our tropical expectations of the Big Island. Loved the ono fish and chips at Dimples right down the street. Mahalo from Texas

A fun house with very comfortable beds in a perfect location for enjoying Volcanos National Park. We cooked and cleaned our dishes in a well appointed kitchen. Squeezing 6 of us around the living area was an exercise in happy communication. We had good internet connection and enjoyed the outdoor space. We will be back!
We had a lovely couple of days at the Tiny Tiki House! It was perfect for the two of us and we would definitely pick this property again if we come back to the Big Island. We had a great experience communicating with the innkeeper mid-visit and they addressed our (VERY minor) issue quickly and with a friendly, professional attitude. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and the outdoor shower was a unique addition to a wonderful experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Unique, Private & Close to Volcanoes National Park
What a unique experience! Felt nice and private in such a secluded setting. Proximity to Volcanoes National Park was perfect. Beds were very comfy. We loved having washer & dryer available, but only one or the other can be used, not both at the same time. Also, clothes dryer didn’t completely dry clothing which made it challenging because of humid climate.

Close to Volcanoes
We chose this tiny home for its extremely close proximity to Volcanoes National Park and the outdoor shower. We loved the space. The girls loved to explore indoors and out. We were able to zip over to the park to view the lava at night and hike during the day. The outdoor shower was amazing. You are surrounded by a lush rainforest which is an experience in and of itself. If you have a chance to view the stars at night you are in for a treat. The property manager always responded promptly with any issues we had. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Amazing property
This tiny home was perfect. The sounds at night is like staying in a rainforest. So peaceful. Very close to the national park and easy to find. Had everything we needed. Unfortunately the outside shower was broken during on stay however the owner was prompt to reply back and a handy man was coming out to fix it, but we missed the opportunity to enjoy the shower before we had to leave.

Great location! Beautiful setting! Comfortable beds! Very well appointed!
We stayed 2 nights along with our adult daughter. As the description says this is a tiny house, but it has everything you need. Including coffee and tea. And a washer and dryer. It's in a quiet neighborhood close to Hawaii Volcanos National Park. The bedding was the most comfortable of our trip, including the resort in Kona. Loved the outdoor shower, even on a cool evening.
