"I've visited La Crosse several times, but this was my first time at The Charmant, and I was not disappointed. Beautifully put together, the hotel and is guest rooms are a delight. Check in was easy, and staff were friendly. My only complaint is that my breakfast server, though nice, was a tad inattentive. I had to wait 15 minutes for my check, and I was late for my first appointment of the day. The food in the restaurant was excellent, though. I will stay there again. "

"The stay was great until we tried to relax in the hot tub. There were about 30 unsupervised kid jumping in the pool, throwing each other in and doing cannonballs around us. We reported it to the night desk person but we were dismissed by him, saying he had no way to determine whose kid to stop the issue, so we went to our room. "If you're looking for a place just to sleep and be one with nature this is it! Kinda like glamping. There was mice poop everywhere, it's that time of year, didn't scare us. But their was no forks, towels, napkins, they only provided 1 trash bag we went through in a hurry and had to use grocery bags for garbage. Ran to gas station for forks and paper towels. The oven dorsnt wirk, so took 4 hours tobake a 20min bitter braid. Other than thst a good place to rough it and relax"
