"Rape in the heart of St. Jean Pied du Port. Pilgrim’s office and hiking stores within feet of the property. Excellent owners, very friendly."

"Very clean, comfy bed, friendly service and a beautiful setting. The hotel is in an old wood and stone building, in the middle of the corn fields, with a view of the Pyrenees mountains. A very nice stay for a romantic getaway. The breakfast was good, continental. The only thing I would suggest is to put the coffee in smaller cups as it gets cold quickly, but that is the only thing I would change about my stay, it was beautiful! Merci! "

"La region est très belle, le village calme et souriant, la partie hôtel de l'établissement ne compte que trois chambres et le restaurant ne fonctionne qu'à midi en semaine, donc sejour très calme et reposant. La chambre et la salle de bain propres et équipées de tout le necessaire. L'hôtesse nous a donné les informations utiles pour trouver une bonne table le soir dans un restaurant de la petite ville tres proche. Un seul bémol: le petit déjeuner est succint...mais servi avec le sourire!"

"Je nai pas dormi dans cet hôtel car en arrivant j'ignorais qu'il y avait bar discothèque au rez de chaussée. Ce n'est pas préciser que le site du caractère bruyant. Comme je devais me lever à 5h pour le travail jai fait demi tour. Et cerise sur le gâteau, hôtels.com m'a prélevé et ne répond pas à mes messages."

"Une très bonne adresse. Les hotes sont adorables et se mettent en quatre pour vous satisfaire. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spatieuse, propres, confortables et joliement décorées. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux avec des produits de qualité et "faits maison". Une maison d'époque, tres bien entretenue, à deux pas du centre tout en étant au calme. Nous recommandons."

"Bruno and Chantal were consummate hosts. I loved my room with its view of the garden, a decor accented with vintage radios and alarm clocks, a spacious modern bathroom and adjacent WC. A practical command of French is helpful, as the coversations surrounding breakfast, cocktail ( choice of aperitif, beer and wine) and dinner (not included, but highly recommended as Chantal is an excellent cook. "Tres joli logement ! Le jardin est arboré, il y a 2 terrasses : une devant le logement avec une table et une excentrée avec des transats (permet de s’isoler, sous les bambous … très sympa). Piscine plus grande que je ne pensais !! L’emplacement est calme, en pleine campagne et à 50 mn des différents sites du pays basque. Le salon est spacieux, cuisine bien équipée Chambres très sympas, douche agréable A noter : l’escalier est raide L’accueil est très amical Je recommande "

"A historical building. Rooms excellent. Staff friendly. Restaurant good but with very limited choice, and for that reason alone I would not like to stay longer than the three nights that we did. "

Beautiful countryside, 5 min walk from all amenities

Wonderful Stay

"We had a terrific stay at Ken and Shona's rental. The house was full of character, very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen in a quiet and scenic neighbourhood. As cyclists, it was a great spot to launch a bike ride from with countless quiet backroads that were picturesque beyond belief. The house was close to all amenities and it was easy to busier roads/highways to travel to other towns and cities such as Pau, Bayonne etc. The pet donkeys were a special treat and we looked forward to seeing them in the mornings while drinking our coffee in the backyard. Shona and Ken were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house!"

"Thank you Alain for a wonderful stay in your beautiful gîte. We loved the farm festival you took us to and you have made us feel very welcome! The gîte is lovely and comfortable, very well equipped. The views are stunning. One point to note: the pool is shared with another gîte, not private. The region is beautiful, lots to do around the gîte "
