"Ok so if you want a modern unfriendly hotel do not choose here but if you want a beautiful traditional chateau with themed rooms, admittedly some oddities as all old chateaus have but beautiful, and lovely staff with an amazing breakfast this is amazing as is Provins generally. Be advised you do need passable French to make things easier but if you are off to France guys it’s the least you can do!!"

"This property is two rooms next to a small hotel. There is no check-in desk, instead you are meant to fill in an online form and let them know your arrival time. We hadn't seen that instruction, and nobody answered when we phoned the number on the door at 8pm. Luckily a local was passing and was able to help contact the hotel and get us in. "We had a fantastic stay with David. His house was beautiful and we were able to use his huge garden to relax in for drinks and our own light meals. David was very hospitable and friendly and his breakfast was great. The area was very quiet and peaceful. We were sorry that we couldn't spend more than 3 days there. We would have liked an additional toilet in the house for the 5 of us ( the property is advertised as accomodating 11 people). "Villa facility was very clean although the floor definitely needed to be mopped All communication was in French which is a minus - contact should be multi-lingual or at least in English as well Lack of breakfast was a big minus and local Tabac recommended for breakfasts was very dirty full of tobacco smoke and unclean so we did not eat there"
