Disliked: Cleanliness
Outdated and mediocre property, bad management, hidden costs
Firstly, the quality of the property is bad, second, management is rude, and third, there are lots of hidden costs. Overall, I would not recommend Dansommer or Novasol properties.
Now to details, very cheap construction- bathroom feels like it's from Soviet block in 90s, things are breaking apart, deck is falling apart, floor's all scratched up, all utensils, appliances, and furniture are mediocre. They're sometimes functional, sometimes not.
The "hot-tub" woodstove was completely full of ashes. After cleaning it myself, it was leaking, and after 6 hours of intense fire, the tub was still ICE cold. It was clear that the tub was not designed properly, and it doesn't work.
Second, the communication is unpleasant. They talk to you in accusatory tone, as if you're something less than a guest. Then even after months after the stay, after fully paying up, they still send me emails, demanding 0.06 euro through international transfer.
Third, while this is common in Denmark, it's unheard of in many other countries. You have to pay for final cleaning (if you want to do it yourself, you'll be cussing at the list of demands- you'll spend the last day and night cleaning). You have to pay for towels and bedsheets. You have to pay for electricity usage. So many hidden costs not shown upfront on VRBO. They take you to their OWN booking page, so I began wondering why I'm bothering with going through VRBO. Anyways, then they send you lots of things to read- prepare to study and read how not to get charged when you're staying at their place.
My wife is Danish, and I barely got through the process. Overall, I would not recommend Dansommer or Novasol properties.
