"We had a wonderful stay at the property which was very clean, warm, comfortable and has a lovely, private swimming pool. It is a great place to explore the nearby towns such as Cognac, Limoges, Angouleme and many interesting small villages. Christine was extremely kind and helpful and we have no hesitation in recommending it if you are considering a holiday in this area. "

"After initially staying for 10 days we then went to the Dordogne for a week. I wish we’d have stayed here the whole time! Still you live and learn. The gite is very clean, well equipped with a lovely modern bathroom and kitchen with plenty of space to park your car. I have to say I’m a bit fussy, bringing my own bedding and towels but I didn’t need them here. The pristine white bedding and towels were changed every 5 days. "This property is a peaceful shangrila. Our hosts Barbara and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The property is an enclosed peace of paradise. "Absolutely fantastic property - very peaceful & quiet and wonderful owners. Our little girl fell ill on the way to France and Adrian went with us to A&E and to see local GP (both during the weekend). Honestly, the owners couldn't be more helpful. Both Adrian & Pat are the loveliest people you'll ever meet. Thank you so much both for everything, we are forever grateful to you and we hope to come back again next year. "The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are alright too. But the location of the hotel is convenient only if the purpose of your trip is to visit the Cartoon Museum, which is around the corner. To get to the old town, where all the monuments, museums, churches, and restaurants are, you have to walk up a steep hill for fifteen minutes."

"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"
