"Beautiful property that we wish we could have enjoyed more but it was perfectly cozy for a snowstorm. My only request is that of you can’t use the wood burning stove there should be some fire feature to enjoy during the winter even a gas one. "

"I cannot say enough complimentary things about the “Salty Cape”!The listing photos and location were what drew me in initially and the reality did not disappoint! Our snowy week visit was brightened by the bright white: neutral Japandi decor! The homeowners know how to welcome visitors. There was nothing they had not thought oft that we could possibly need. "The house is lovely, great location and situation. The shore just below the house is rocky and charming, but requires caution descending to it (in the winter anyway). Sunrise over the south end of Monroe Island is just gorgeous. Views from every room. The kitchen is great, and the most generously supplied with cookware and dishes that I've ever seen in a rental. Super."

"We really enjoyed this property for our 4th visit to the Maine mid-coast area this year. It was a private and quiet setting surrounded by trees decked out in beautiful fall foliage. Easy access to Camden and many idyllic little townships. Some beautiful hiking nearby too. The house was tidy with an easy layout and good beds. We lacked nothing and were very comfortable. Host Mark was quick to respond if we had any questions. The house is multi-level so there are stairs.We will stay again...

"Great management, very clean, had everything in the kitchen, comfortable beds, even a pen for a dog. The sky was beautiful at night. It was very quiet. We were very close to hiking trails and the lighthouse. We had a nice time at Christmas."

"Cozy, quiet cabin with a good layout and nice view on the water. Easy check-in and check-out process. Host is very responsive. "

" Directions for check-in were thorough and access was easy. We loved the uniqueness of the property, especially the entry through the barn. Coffee, creamer and sugar provided was well appreciated. The house was comfortable and the games provided were fun. We were in Camden to see our grandson perform with the Maine Allstate band at the HS. The location of the Farmhouse was convenient and close to a variety of shops. "

"Our stay was perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing. Plenty of space as far as bedrooms and bathrooms go. So much common space to enjoy a fire, meals, and outdoor space. The beach is very wide during low tide and an added perk. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. We can’t wait to plan a return trip."

It's located in a quiet, riverfront area for a peaceful stay. Only the turkeys, squirrels, and an occasional lobster boat to get your attention. Just perfect. I highly recommend this property."

"We stayed here for almost two weeks in late June/early July. The location was great for our purposes (we come to the area each summer to see family who live just minutes away), and we enjoyed walks with our preschooler down to the little beach to hunt for sea glass. We also liked the large yard and beautiful newer deck for added enjoyment outside - the view is lovely. The house is an older farmhouse with some updates; we expected and enjoyed the more vintage touches. The upstairs can get hot,...

Best Hotel of my Life

"What can I say? This hotel is absolutely amazing…fantastic…wonderful. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe it. I spend half the year traveling…mostly overseas. I stay in countless hotels. I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I live in Maine about an hour and a half away from Rockport. My wife and I needed to get away from things for a weekend. I found this on hotels.com, and thought I would give it a try. Boy, did we hit the jackpot. A LOT of thought went into this hotel. We stayed in Room 35 on the backside of the hotel. Even though we didn’t have a water view, I wouldn’t have traded it. The room was massive, with TWO full baths. The kitchen area was perfect, with a wonderful coffee maker and good sized fridge. The mattress was really comfortable. I even pulled back the sheets to see what it was, so that we could look at getting one for our house. We were here for two nights. We needed a get away from the stress at home and work. This hotel gave us what we needed. We only left the room once. We just relaxed and ordered room service. The food was fantastic. It was quiet, clean, and roomy. I can’t say enough. We will definitely come back. What a gem."

"We stayed here in February, one of the quietest months of the year. So the review reflects that. Don't expect this place to be quiet during the peak travel months as it's in the heart of Camden right on the water. Great views and location with plenty of restaurants at your access. The staff was very friendly. The room was a very well laid out suite with more light switches than I've ever seen. It also had a fireplace which is nice in winter, along with a jacuzzi tub and a room bathroom. A really great place!"
