Safe and Secure
I liked the fact that you had to ring the outside bell to enter the hotel, so it was not open to strangers just to wander in. It's in a quiet and select part of town; about 30 minutes walk from the bus station and close to shops and restaurants. The beach is about 15 minutes away.
I was a solo traveller and initially I was given a single room, which I thought was quite small and dingy. The hotel was fairly quiet so I was able to change to a larger much better room at no extra cost.
This double room had a lovely bathroom with a shower that delivered hot water in moments as opposed to hours! There was a flat screen tv on the wall, a big comfortable double bed, two bedside cabinets, a table, an easy chair and a huge wardrobe. There was no chest of drawers or air-conditioning, but free wi-fi.
Breakfast was fairly basic and was served, but varied from day to day.
All the staff I met were very friendly, though their English was limited.
