"This hotel is listed in Expedia as "Alpenmotel Sauling". The hardest part was finding it. We followed Google Maps to the location but could not find "Alpenmotel" on any building or sign. We went up and down the streets. We finally found "Sauling" and found a self service set of boxes on the outside. We found our name and the keys. There was a building (house) number but no map. "This was the best part of our stay in Germany! The setting was gorgeous with a fantastic view of both the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. It was just what a pictured for a hotel in the Alps. We had a room the would accommodate 4 with a separate sleeping area with 2 double beds. Breakfast and dinner were available and were excellent. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Thankfully everyone spoke English to accommodate us, tourists who do not speak German well."
