"This is a quiet spa resort in the countryside. I stayed as it is dog friendly and needed an overnight on way through the area. Very nice place. A bit dated. Lots of people on package tours. The restaurant is decent, and the prices are fine. The gardens are lovely. Unfortunately I was unabelt o try the spa facilities but definitely will come again. "

"Sadly having booked and paid for this hotel to end the day motorcycling up the Duoro Valley we had an email from you late the night before confirming that the booking could not be honoured and to ring your reservation services line. Which we did twice hoping for an offer of alternative accommodation. Rather than wait on the line your employee (Jimena) confirmed he would ring us back with alternatives. "Out of town, remote n a side lane. Very difficult to locate, badly signposted from town. Car park detached on adjacent open field, totally open to public and therefore insecure. Spacious room. Individual meal prices exorbitant. Swimming pools closed for season, but we had not been informed of this when booking. "

"Beautiful historic building right in the heart of the old town. The attentive and knowledgeable staff was ready to help me with all the information I needed - their suggestions were spot on. The room, although a little outdated, had all the modern needs to make them functional. Bathroom pristine clean. I look forward to be back."

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location. Originally we were only going to stay one night but then ended up staying an additional two nights. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "The therapy pool is WONDERFUL! Note room occupants are limited to 1 hour of pool usage per night booked, bring your own flip-flop/slippers and swimming cap, those are required, or you will have to buy them"

"We really enjoyed our stay. With 5 people the beds were enough and fairly comfortable. There was enough living space and a nice kitchen though we only stayed for the night. The place was clean. It was nice we could make a fire but had to use the air conditioning to keep the place warm. Only annoyance was the hot water we had to adjust as it was too cold for winter and took a while to warm up for the morning shower. Would go back just because of the breakfast choices!"
