"The hosts are amazing. They greeted us at a local restaurant and we followed them up to their beautiful home. They are very proud of their family home that is over 300 years old. It was completely renovated and has everything you need. We loved our stay. The road up to the house is quite windy, but if you take your time, it is fine. Aside from that, I highly recommend this property."

"Nos encontramos una casita pequeña super cuca y bien cuidada, aunque no entendimos que no hubiese ni horno ni microondas. La piscina muy limpia. El chico de la recepción de llaves y mantenimiento un auténtico encanto. El problema es que justo enfrente tiene una parcela un hombre que se dedica a desatender a su perro (lo deja suelto y se te cuela en casa) y a poner música hasta la madrugada muy alta. Sabemos que no es culpa de la dueña, pero mínimo debería cercarse la parcela para que no entren...

"Just spent a week at this apartment. All went very smoothly. The host, Cornelia is very friendly and fast with communications. The apartment is perfect and rustic. I don’t think that the photos do it justice, it is much better in ‘real life’. The terrace is perfect for relaxing on. The village is quiet and small, but not far from the motorways or the beach. A hire car is a must, but everywhere is within easy reach. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it. Thank you Cornelia!"

"We had a wonderful two weeks here in Vélez. The house was beautiful and the swimming pool was perfect! The kitchen was big enough for everyone and well stocked with all you needed. The air conditioners / fans worked well in the Spanish heat. Olivier & Juana were great hosts, very helpful with local knowledge and an occasional lift. "We had a wonderful time at Los Almendros and recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Andalusia as it is at a reasonable driving distance from all important cities in this beautiful area of Spain. We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow very much, it’s such a beautiful area and thank Madeleine for being so helpful. "The property was so authentic and beautiful. Dated but for us this was a good thing as it felt local and special. Paqui was extremely helpful even though he didn’t speak much English, his daughter helped communicate with us via WhatsApp and gave us lots of recommendations and support with travel. We were hoping to use taxis but because of the villa location this is not possible all the time so if you’re staying here you should definitely get a Hire car! The biggest supermarket was 17 min drive...
