"This was an excellent property and I enjoyed it fully. The staff were excellent and attentive. The major downside was the lack of cooking facilities which are advertised when booking the room. A wooden board covered the hob with a note saying that the hob couldn’t be used. There was no sign of a microwave either. The cost of going out to eat added up and was an expense I hadn’t budgeted for. "

"Staff can be a little cold but always professional. Rooms need a little TLC, maintenance appears to be reasonable but not as tight as it could be, wallpaper beginning to peel and moisture damage on the bottom of doors. All in all, good breakfast, comfortable, clean and great location... cafes, restaurants and shops all around you."

"It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but it’s close. Reading all the fabulous reviews we were pleasantly surprised that even the best were not quite up What you get when you arrive. The rooms were large and an immaculate clean and everything was top-notch. Breakfast in the morning is great bar in the evening one of the best in town. 10 minute walk to great restaurants and people areas or short taxi ride to the old town. Can’t say enough about this place. "

"We love Hotel Flora! We first stayed at the hotel in 2022 and again this October. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, and shopping. It is quiet and clean. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and it is a bonus to have a restaurant as well that serves very good food. The staff are very professional and helpful. We will be back!"

"I got the Junior suite room for my 4 day stay. The room was very big and spacious. It had a nice TV, sofa, working table and chairs, a Jacuzzi. The room amenities and the breakfast was also good. However, being a 4 star hotel I would expect more. For example, the wifi signal was extremely poor and not coming from the bed. The room was very dusty. "Das Haus ist in der Bergwelt Sardiniens sehr ruhig inmitten von Berg- und Landwirtschaft gelegen. Es ist eine fantastische Aussicht vom kleinen Balkon aus. Natur pur. Es hat Trinkwasser ab Hahn im Haus. Zudem sehr heisses Wasser ab Hahn, was sehr angenehm ist. Abstriche gibt es leider bei der Sauberkeit. Die Wohnung selber haben wir ordentlich vorgefunden, jedoch musste das Küchengeschirr vor dem Gebrauch zuerst gereinigt werden und die Klobürste war vermutlich noch von letzter Saison....

A little gem

"We only stayed a Locanda La Rosa for one night. We used it as an overnight stay before flying home from Cagliari the following morning. The property is well located for visiting the Barumini nuraghes. Parking was on the street but wasn't a problem as Pauli Arberei is a very small rural village. The highlight of Locanda La Rosa is really the hosts themselves. Fabiano and Maria Rosa were such lovely people who really seemed to sincerely enjoy looking after us. Although we had some language problems (resolved with a translation app) we had some good humoured discussions over dinner, discovering oneanothers interests and life histories. We were genuinely sad to leave."

Worst night sleep ever!! Don’t recommend in summer

"Room was uncomfortably hot. Air con terminal stopped pumping out cold air about 3am and the room became unbearably hot. There was nobody to be found in the hotel and my family of four had to stand outside multiple times in the dark to get some air. We managed to get the kids back to sleep after several hours by placing wet towels on their back. We wanted to complain at check out but there was still nobody to be seen!! A single person who was in the restaurant just told us to leave our key at the front desk and leave. The rooms / bathroom also smelled pretty musty. Not pleasant. If it’s winter and you are not travelling as a family I’m sure this place would do for a night or two but I would never consider this place again with my family."

"The hotel is nice and surrounded by hills. There is a lovely view from the balcony. The food at the restaurant is really nice and the service is very good. I would highly recommend it. If you are a biker, this is a biker's hotel. "
