The Sagittarius Gole, spectacular and picturesque canyon carved by centuries of erosion of the rushing waters of the Sagittario river, represent one of the most important natural areas in Europe. The Regional Nature Reserve of the Sagittarius Gole (WWF since 1991) is located in the town of Anversa degli Abruzzi.
After two hours, starting from Rome, we reached this magical place driving along a small road for several kilometers on the bottom of this deep canyon.
The view of the lake, which suddenly appears after a curve, is one of the the most gorgeous spots that you can find in central Italy.

"Mark was super friendly and available to give us an initial tour of the property and to answer questions about activities, grocery store, etc. We love the little town and it's residents who all know Mark. The views from the property are breath-taking and day trips to adjacent areas convenient. The price to rent the property was outstanding. Parking was available but not close. "Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria "

"We stayed at this wonderful place and let me just say how perfect and convenient it was. This place is spotless! Comfortable! Spacious and peaceful. The pictures are exactly like the place. We had no issues and the host Bianca made our stay very easy , pleasant and perfect. I recommend this place if you have to be in that area! Having a rental car wasn’t any problem at all to find parking and walk the path to the unit. Thank you for this amazing experience !!! "
