If you seek great waves, unspoiled beaches and a calming environment, then Casa Mana is the place for you! This surfer’s getaway is nestled amongst the trees just a 1 minute walk from the beach. It provides the perfect balance of being off the beaten path yet fitted with all the comforts of home.
Casa Mana is approximately 1000 square feet with a large outdoor lanai that houses the dining table and a few enticing hammocks. Follow the outdoor spiral staircase and you will be led to a rooftop oasis. This is the perfect spot to witness an amazing sunset or simply take in the sounds of the crashing waves and chirping birds.
Inside you will find locally hand-made furniture and cabinetry throughout. Casa Mana has two air- conditioned bedrooms (one with a King sized bed and the other with a Queen sized bed) that share a large Jack and Jill bathroom, and can sleep up to 7 people. There is a comfortable couch and Queen size air mattress to accommodate extra guests. There is an additional half bath accessed through the living area. The kitchen comes fully stocked (fridge, stove, coffee maker, blender, mixer, toaster…).
We have put a great deal of thought into making sure Casa Mana has all the extra amenities you might possibly need: Beach towels, an ice chest, iPod dock, boogie boards, poker chips, alarm clocks, 1st aid kit, games, flashlights, high quality sheets, and available wireless internet. We don’t want you to feel like you are in a typical bare rental; we’d rather you feel at home, and just a bit more relaxed!
Casa Mana is located about an hour away from Managua inside the community of Finca Del Mar. Ourselves and the surrounding community respect the natural resources of Nicaragua and we attempt to tread lightly. Whenever possible, the materials used to build Casa Mana were purchased locally. The wood pillars are reclaimed trees that were knocked down in storms. The cane used in the ceiling is from local sugar cane fields. We utilize a composting and recycling system. Solar panels are also being installed soon to power all of Casa Mana.
Enough about the house, let’s talk about what you can expect to do once you get here! Surf, surf and more surf. Nicaragua is blessed with an abundance of good waves, offshore winds, and sunny weather almost all year-round so you are sure to catch a few good waves. With just a few surfers and plenty of waves you will never have to battle for waves in a crowded line-up. If surfing is not your specialty, no worries, there are plenty of other activities to choose from as well: take a horseback ride on the beach, volunteer for a few hours at the local elementary school, indulge in a fantastic massage, play golf at the nearby Gran Pacifica golf course, hike down the river and take in the many species of birds, enjoy a relaxing massage, take day excursions to Granada/Leon/Masaya or maybe just enjoy some much deserved hammock time and a cold Tona. Be as lazy or as active as you desire.
Just a few feet away you will find Los Cardones Restaurant and ecolodge. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat, meet other travelers from all over the world, participate in preserving sea turtles and swing in a hammock while sipping on a cold drink. Los Cardones also has a wide array of surfboard & boogie board rentals to choose from. A little further down the beach you will find Gran Pacifica Resort, which has a yummy poolside restaurant.
If you want to escape the hustle & bustle of the usual tourist destination and experience nature, an unspoiled beach, and peace & quiet, this is the place for you. Casa Mana provides Nicaragua at her best.
