"We stayed one night and were enchanted with the fortress turned hotel in the heart of Sorano. Our room had amazing views of the surrounding town, the breakfast had fantastic coffee and a wide assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, and pastries. The owners tour of the underground wine cellars and wine making process capped off with a tasting was informative and delicious."

"Fantastic place! The grounds were breathtaking, very nice to wake up to such nice surroundings. Our room was amazing, we had a crib waiting for us since we came with a baby! also had a mini fridge in our room which was perfect for his food! Breakfast was delicious! "Nice ancient residence, lots of antique furniture & ambience, quiet w/comfy bed. Bathroom needed attention so shower wand fits wall & doesnt crash into the bath tub if moved & need a tub plug. Would be nice to add small lotion with bath soap to make this a more kuxurious stay. And the ancient door was VERY difficuot to lock in and out. We had a car and had just come from Sorano and Sovana...would highly recommend both towns.
