"A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, the serenity here was perfection. We stayed in the 'deluxe double room' which was absolutely fantastic. We arranged a vespa rental and rode through the countryside to the nearby Castellina in Chianti and cute hilltop town and took a wonderful cooking class at Taverna...

"This was an absolute highlight of our trip. The castle is beautiful and incredibly well kept. The proprietor visited our table one morning, at the beautiful breakfast they offered, and gave us some fantastic history of the property and the upgrades she has made to the castle and the grounds. "Our stay was outstanding. We got to stay in an 8th century abbey! We had so much space and a full kitchen. Beautiful property. Our hosts were outstanding, very attentive, responsive, excellent breakfast prepared by the family, good wine made on-site, option for traditional dinner (we didn’t have it but it was nice to have the option), just wonderful overall! Laura and her daughters and husband do an amazing job. "

"If you are going to Siena and Tuscany, this property is an amazing place to stay. Beautiful house surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. It has everything you need for your stay. The owners were very responsive and helpful. And don’t forget to have Kati prepare a meal for you as an option they provide. It was wonderful. We had an amazing time and are taking away even more amazing memories of this property and our time in Tuscany. "

"Really good experience. No air conditioning in 2nd bedroom and learnt to deal with approach road which unfortunately was similar to other roads in Italy but a shock. Staff great though."

"Staff was very proficient in English for the most part, with excellent communication and professional in service through and through. Restaurant on site was elegant with good variety of menu items, though a little pricey as expected. Quality of food was above average but not excellent as expected. Drive to this monastery was fairly easy with surrounding village somewhat accommodating in amenities and conveniences. Keep in mind you would need a car throughout your stay here. Siena is 10 minutes away by car, a must see for at least one day. "

"Beautiful hotel and awesome location. Hotel is located at the edge of Siena central city. An easy walk to the city with the added benefit of being in a quiet location. We loved Siena! The grounds were beautiful as was the hotel and room. The room was a spacious apartment with a large bedroom full of windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. Also,a comfortable king bed with an attached living room and kitchen. We cooked in our room one night with the supplies from the large grocery store a short walk from the hotel. Dishes, utensils and cooking pans supplied in the room. The train and bus terminal were a short walk from the hotel for easy connections to other areas. We loved this hotel so much we extended our stay an extra day. "
