"We got a very warm welcome and very nicely given information about Balestrand and its surroundings. Lovely garden and awesome views of the Sognefjord while sitting and having breakfast or dinner. The apartment felt like home. I still want to thank Mrs ... for het tour of the village."

"Bei Ankunft in der Ferienwohnung mussten wir feststellen, daß beinahe alle Schubladen in der Kommode und die großen Schubladen in der Küche abgeschlossen waren. Der Wandschrank war zur Hälfte voll mit Bettwäsche, obwohl man Bettwäsche und Handtücher selbst mitbringen musste. Das finde ich nicht gastfreundlich! Wir waren mehrere Wochen unterwegs und hatten viel Gepäck und hätten das gerne ausgepackt. Außerdem verstehen wir nicht, daß man die Wohnung selbst Putzen und spätestens um 10 Uhr...

"Idyllisch gelegenes Chalet direkt am Fjord, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Es mangelt an nichts. Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Äußerst hilfsbereite und gastfreundliche Vermieter. Einziges Problem: Nahezu vollständig ausgebucht bis 2025."

"Es waren drei wunderschöne Wochen der Abgeschiedenheit. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr angenehm. Sie sprechen gut deutsch, sodass die Verständigung sehr gut funktioniert. Die Unterkunft hat gehalten, was sie versprochen hat. Wir hatten die kleinste Wohnung, die sehr fein eingerichtet war. Für Angler und Ruheliebende ist es ein Paradies. Sofort ist man mit dem Boot im Geschehen und kann die Rute ins Wasser halten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden u. würden gern wieder herkommen."

"Era presentato come monolocale con angolo cottura, quindi, non essendoci ristoranti o locali in cui poter mangiare nei dintorni, ci siamo procurati del cibo da cucinare. Appena accesa la piastra a induzione, si è sentito un botto, come un rumore di contatore che salta. Da quel momento non abbiamo più avuto a disposizione né la piastra, né il frigo che evidentemente erano collegati. Ce la siamo cavata fortunatamente con il nostro fornello da campeggio, senza il quale non avremmo potuto mangiare....

"First off the hotel staff were wonderful. We had dinner there as well, it was delicious. The wine selection was great. The service was excellent. The sweet thing was that for breakfast.. they had set up the same table for us. Which was so thoughtful. The location of this hotel and UNESCO site was incredible. I felt such peace between the mountains sitting there on the water. Such a unique place.. for me anyway. Kudos! Thank you"

"We had an amazing time in Ortnevik. The cabin had a beautiful view and the town of Ortnevik is so charming. The cabin was rustic and cozy. The host was very friendly and responsive. Overall we had an amazing stay!"

"We loved our stay! We had a beautiful view of the fjord and loved the village of Undredal. The house was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was wonderful and we enjoyed renting kayaks and paddling along the fjord. The grocery store had what we needed but be aware that they close at 5:00 and aren’t open on Sundays. There isn’t an outlet in the bathroom that we could find so we had to dry our hair in the hall where there wasn’t much light, but we made it work. Loved having a washer and dryer. The only problem we had was the road to the house is very narrow and it was blocked 3 different times by this farmer and his equipment and vehicle. I thought we were plenty patient waiting for him to get out of the way, but one time I had to toot the horn because he was no where in sight and boy was he mad!! We stayed 5 nights and took day trips from this location. It was perfect."
