"This hotel is a great option for a quick trip to Giverny. It's about a 15 minute drive. The town of Vernon is clean and walkable. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. They did not let us check in early without paying a lot more. It would have been nice to get in just an hour earlier as I had been traveling for 24 hours, but the other places we stayed were much more flexible. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again."

"We have stayed in many chateau’s over the years in France but this was the worst. The room was dreadful, no room in the bathroom carpet disgusting light outside the window all night so unable to sleep. No lounge area or chairs to sit and drink with friends. No atmosphere in restaurant and food very expensive and it was clear we weren’t wanted!! The staff on reception very cheerful and helpful. Overall a terrible expensive experience "

"It opened our eyes to how busy the Seine River is asa major trading route, and how attractive the Seine Valley is. The hotel was an ideal place to get to Giverny easily and we enjoyed 2 full days in Giverny, including a visit to Monet's garden and house. The château de Roche Gayon was a most interesting piece of history in the Seine Valley. "

"The only reason to stay at this hotel is because it is the closest to the Rouen Parc d'exposition. We had booked six rooms for a classic car show weekend for three nights. The rooms are the smallest that it's possible to fit a double bed into, althought the aircon is good and everything is pretty new. The big let down is the breakfast service. When you are exhibiting at a show you need to get up, shower, have breakfast and go. On all three mornings the breakfast service was terrible. The staff seemed to be hiding out back and not replenishing things. When we arrived in the breakfast room, there was no coffee, no apple juice, no butter, baggettes and no bread. I had to go to the reception three times and it was still 15 minutes before the coffee machines were replenished. This simply isn't good enough and it's their loss : next year we will be needing 20 rooms and we will be staying elsewhere."
