"We stayed at the Lao Poet for 5 nights. Loved the decor and our room (610) was a good size and quiet. The location is excellent and within walking distance to key sites. There are banks to change money right down the street and several good restaurants within a few minutes. The staff were very sweet and helpful. Breakfast was very fresh. The menu isn’t huge but there is enough to keep it interesting. We stayed for dinner at the hotel one night and it was very god as well. Roof top pool/bar was great to relax after a day of walking around. Would recommend this hotel."

"Great relaxing place to kick your feet up. Loved the live music on the rooftop bar. I ordered the quesadilla and it was the best I had in my entire life! Huge variety breakfast buffet with an expert egg chef! I would come back here for sure "

"Highly recommended hotel. I would stay here again for a couple reasons. First it is in a central location and a short distance to the tourist attractions i wanted to see plus walking distance to the night market. I also liked that it has clean rooms, hot water and good wifi. Friend staff as well. Some nice restaurants close by as well"

"The location of this hotel is perfect! Very central and in a very busy eatery / bar eara just off from night market and Mekong river restaurants. My room had the most comfortable bed in my 2 week journey through Laos and a very generous shower space. I had the total delight of bring very gently woken by monks chanting their gratitude as morning alms took place. I am a light sleeper but you could easily sleep through this if Wats and monastry are not your thing. The service overall ( laundry, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk were all extremely good and staff are very engaging, there is a really nice 'vibe' at this place and the breakfasts are plentiful, tasteful and most thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a 2 night stay that I would absolutley return to and recommend! "
