Not Recomended! No AC/No safe Box/ No Fridge/ No kettle/ very noisy fan/ however the location is great and so are the staffs. Renovation was very disturbing during daytime
While located close to a metro station, Hotel Odeon had numerous unexpected issues for the pricey stay of a few nights. The website stated parking was provided but had to move my car twice upon arrival and then pay for a parking pass. Moved again the following day. The next morning they tried to charge us for breakfast we did not eat. Rooms were small and shabby with our toilet/shower in hall (which is default). Television only had a few channels - any English options (CNN/MSNBC) would not come through and the signal would be scrambled. The single center staircase [see picture] (elevator was out of order and there was no indication of when it will be, if ever, in operation) was unpleasant and a safety issue. The building was under construction - and again, we were not made aware until arrival. Would recommend avoiding unless the elevator/construction is complete - and you don't mind a small, pricey, shower-down-the-hall room.
Unfortunately when we arrived we discovered that the hotel was undergoing some renovation including the elevator. The elevator and parts of the lobby and halls had plastic wrap covering holes. We were not made aware of this ahead of time and we had to carry luggage up and down the stairs. Additionally, the halls had a strong cigarette smell. The rooms, overall, we fairly clean but there was opaque glass on the upper parts of the bathroom walls dividing the bedroom so every time one of us used the facilities, the light glared into the bedroom. Staff was ok. Our friends checked out and into another hotel across the street. It was much nicer and was only about 9 Euro more plus they got breakfast. I don't feel this hotel was worth the cost.
Very convenient and easy to walk around City Center and all the sites. Friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Nice hotel close to the center and U-bahn stations.
The staff is generally good, but when I arrived to check in with the prepaid reservation at about 11 pm, the clerk was on the phone with his boss for about 15 minutes, before I could get the paperwork to sign and the key to the room.
The amenities are good and the rooms- clean
The hotel is in an old building needing some uplifting. Same goes to the building interior. The room I stayed at was very, very, very basic and looking very tired.
Service at reception was good, polite and diligent. I forgot an adaptor for my charges and the lady at reception found me one I could borrow.
Wifi was ok.
I didn't try the food so I can't talk about it.
I went running in an amazing park very closed to the hotel.
Cheap and basic. Good enough for one night although if I have to come back to Vienna I would stay somewhere else.
I was visiting Vienna for three days. From the hotel, which is located in the 2nd Bezirk, everything is within walking distance, if you enjoy walking in a spectacular city: 1st Bezirk with city center and coffee houses; 3rd Bezirk with Hundertwasserhaus; 4th Bezirk with Karlskirche and Oper an der Wien. The 2nd Bezirk itself is a fine choice for good transportation options, fine and inexpensive restaurants, and the famous Prater.
Reasonable hotel in a quiet location near metro, cafes and train station. Some stimulating historic plaques on buildings relate the Holocaust in the former Jewish Quarter before the deportations ...
