Great location
Paid for 2 night stay before arriving but the clerk couldn't find our booking. Had to wait about 20 minutes.
It was great for a quick stop. The room reminded me of the Shining and the hotel of American Horror Story; but it was clean, well positioned and the staff were all great. Quirky hotel in the best kind of way.
hotel impressing size wise clean and regularelly room serviced however showers not up to it : there is a shower and bathroom in each floor two of which were brock so you would have to walk down another two floors but eventually got to use one.one plus for this hotel is the location right of the main shopping district and metro stations.
Very old, tired and in need of a makeover. Triple share room on level 1 was large however the 3rd bed was the fold out couch that was extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom was large but very difficult to shower on the bath as you had to hold the shower head the whole time as there was no where for it to hang !!!
We could appreciate the age of the building but the interior is in need of updating.
It should be noted WHICH train station the hotel is near... as Americans, we were unsure and asked MANY Austrians and they told us the west station. This was so wrong, and had to walk 2-3 miles with luggage to find hotel. Thank goodness for phone GPS... but Alexander at reception turned our surly mood into a good one! Hotel old but much character. We were pleased...
Pretty big and very quiet room.
Location is good - right at Westbahnohof U station.
The reception is closed after 8pm.
The hotel has an vintage feeling but very well maintained..
Quick checkin/out. Overall - great deal.
It was so hot in Vienna during our stay and there is no A/C in our room, only the fan. It was so uncomfortable.

Convenient Location
Pros: Very convenient location - right across Westbanhoff and right around the corner of Mariahilferstrasse. Within walking distance to the Museum's Quarter. Lots of grocery stores around and eating places. Very safe, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Good value for money.
Cons: The room I was in had no view at all - would have liked a room with a nicer view. The internet connection from the room was really spotty to none at all which was a big disappointment as I needed to work a lot on my computer. They suggested I come to the lobby but I wanted to be alone. There was a couple nights where it was very warm and I wish there is a tiny fan in the room.
If your vacation involves a lot staying back at the hotel to work on personal projects like I did, this may not be an ideal place stay however, if you are in Vienna for purely sightseeing and shopping and having fun outside, then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
No air conditioning was shocking !! This should be made clear to prospective customers. Sweating & hot make me extremely uncomfortable, sick and hard to sleep. Not a hotel to go during summer!

Good location for easy access to the city.
My room had an amazing view of the church behind the hotel. It's located across from main train stain so very handy to catch a ride anywhere. I enjoyed staying there and would stay again.
The hotel was nice, located very conveniently by the subway and train station. The hotel itself is in an old building so the rooms have an older style to them, but is still very clean.
The elevator is really neat.
A very basic establishment --OK for backpackers but not for anyone who wants basic comforts like cooling in extreme heat , a double bed that is actually a double bed and WIFI that works
The hotel had very good rooms and bathrooms. We booked 2 double rooms for the family, and they did not disappoint. However, the hotel itself is very dated and lacks services such as breakfast, which is only served on weekends. Attention to detail is a must in order to improve the whole experience. Wifi simply did not work.
The hotel was lovely though slightly worn. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We experienced some issues with the enclosure on the bath and inadvertently flooded the bathroom the first night after a shower. It is essential that the hand held shower always be toward the shower wall or water goes everywhere. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful, going so far as to add our postcards to their outgoing mail.
The location is excellent and public transportation is right across the street. The staff provided directions and a map that showed the routes of the underground which was a big help. We were very comfortable hopping on the subway for the quick trip in to see the sights and even navigated our way across the city to the Freud Museum. Our only issue was when we came back on the subway after midnight on evening. There was a large group of very drunk young people trying to walk down the up escalators which forced everyone to use the stairs. Not ideal after all the walking we did in town. When we emerged from underground, there were some drugged up people hanging around the food stands in the station. We weren't surprised to see an ambulance and the police show up a short while later. However, this was obviously beyond the control of the hotel. I would just use caution if you're out late - as you should in any city.
