"We had a splendid stay. The house was just as described. All amenities described were provided. The owner, Filipe, is very responsive and helpful with any questions. We had no issues. We enjoyed the peacefulness yet close to town. As for the driveway from precious comments, yes it is steep, but we had no issues at all! We followed Felipe’s advice and we were fine."

"The views from this place of the mountains were spectacular. Very quiet and peaceful. The above ground pool was welcome in the heat wave. Large fridge was handy. Lots of fruit trees in the yard and no mosquitoes in August! The neighbourhood is very traditional, including very narrow roads with stone walls on the way in. If you have a large car, you'll have to pull the mirrors in and hope you don't meet another car. There is a good pizza shop within walking distance and a beautiful bar that...

"Amarante is a very nice town and the area has lots on the doorstep, riverside walks, river, greenway, bike hire available in town and lots of day trips to adjacent areas. Accomodation good and lovely pool"

"La verdad es que nos sentimos engañados. Te publicitan una casa de 150 m2, con tres dormitorios y dos baños y la realidad es q son dos casas independientes (una arriba, otra abajo) teniendo q separar asi al grupo familiar y aun por encima sin alquiler integro porque habia otra persona en la casa del medio. Te ofrecen lavadora y secadora y al llegar solo nos dicen q no funciona (sin ni siquiera estar allí). Por otro lado, el jardín está muy bien de día porque de noche no tiene ni luz. Las fotos...

"The property was well located with easy and good access to Aramante the Douro valley and Porto. The garden and house are secluded and the surrounding area of vineyards was very quiet and peaceful. The house was really well equipped and very nice with lots of hot water and towels for the pool. We enjoyed walking around the area and into Aramante along the new footpath next to the river. We had a really relaxing stay and would throughly recommend the house to people. "

"Aurelie was fantastic to deal with and really helpful with any queries and booking taxis for us etc. the house was absolutely stunning and the grounds were amazing with so many lemon, lime, fig, olive trees etc. So quiet - we were in our own Oasis! Will definitely be returning when we aren’t having to rush back & forth to Dance World Cup!"

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans un environnement propice aux vacances et à la détente. La maison est grande, les propriétaires très gentils et aux petits soins pour nous. Ils nous ont accueillis avec des fleurs, un panier de légumes, des oeufs, des citrons.... La maison est très bien équipée. Bref il n'y a plus qu'à poser ses valises. Nous reviendrons !"

"Having done a few family & friends villa holidays now, I can say that this was one of the best villas we stayed in. Spotlessly clean and every room has a good sized, comfortable bed with an en-suite. Nobody had "the rubbish room" and a decent sized table that we could all fit around. WiFi worked throughout (unfortunately 1 of us still needed to do a bit of work). The pool, garden & bbq area were great to spend time together. We spent lots of time splashing around, eating, drinking, playing...

"Unique place in a village! Very quiet and peaceful setting with a stunning view of a valley. Dona Cila was particularly helpful and pleasant! The access to the place was a bit challenging. Other than that we enjoyed it very much. "
