Hot Tub in the treetops with Timber Framed 2 bedroom cabin hidding in the woods
This West Virginia cabin, Over the Hill, sleeps 4 in privacy and comfort. Over The Hill is exactly what a cabin in the woods should be. Over The Hill is situated in the forest on a rock outcropping with a state of the art Hot Tub on the deck in the treetops. That’s right. A hot tub in the trees. Cool. There are a lot of other cool things about Over The Hill. The design is a favorite of longtime guests. It’s comfortable, secluded getaway in the West Virginia mountains. The Story
It’s called Over The Hill because the first ideas and drawings were created on my 40th birthday. The unique design makes the most of the space we created. We really enjoyed designing and building this timber frame cabin, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy Over The Hill, too. The cabin actually is built mostly over a hill. You can really tell when you walk out on the back deck and you’re up in the trees. As a nature lover, there’s not much that beats hanging out in the hot tub up in the forest canopy. This Cabin starts at the prices listed on the availability calendar at the upper right-hand corner of this page based on availability. Prices include up to 4 adults. Each additional adult is 20.00 per person per night. Children 12 and under are free (1 per paying adult). We do have a three-night minimum from Memorial day through Bridge day. Sometimes other reservations leave one and two-night holes. Please check with us for availability.

Spent 2 days in the cabin and it was perfect for me, my fiance and our 2 pups. Only a few minutes from New River Gorge National Park, which we went to and had a wonderful time.
We had a wonderful stay at Over the Hill. We had everything we needed and the hot tub was great. The gas fireplace made our stay cozy. The only critique I have is that the beds are really uncomfortable and my back hurt after sleeping on them.
The cabin was very clean and welcoming and the homemade cookies were delicious. We really enjoyed spending our evenings in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The host was very quick to respond to any questions. We are looking forward to having our whole family come back with us!
We enjoyed our stay in this sweet cabin. It is as described in its listing. The kitchen/living area could use more lights. The AC unit was effective but noisy and there were no screens on any of the doors. So, to keep out the mosquitoes they needed to be closed.
I was a little hesitant to book a dog friendly place. The last VRBO was a little too dog friendly. I don’t want to wash hairy bedding on arrival. This place was spotless! You would never guess it’s dog friendly. I even noticed the top blanket smelled like fresh laundry. Usually those go a few times w/o being washed. We loved all the little touches. The hot tub was also perfect. We own a hot tub and know what the water should be like. Most say they are fully drained and you can tell they are definitely not. This was not the case here. It was in perfect shape and we appreciated the extra chlorine left for our use. The location was also very close to everything we wanted to do. We loved the instant heat of the fire place coming back cold and wet from hiking. We do wish the hot tub had an umbrella or some sort of cover for the rain. Great overall!!!
Small place, but had all we needed. 10 minutes to the NRG Visitor Center and to Fayetteville. Very clean and well-maintained. Directions were good. Hot tub was nice and the back porch was nice in the morning.
This cabin for four was a perfect cabin in the woods but with all the amenities we like when on vacation. The hot tub was fun. The location was great for visiting the New River Gorge National Park. It’s a beautiful spot.
