The little house in the woods is the ideal place to immerse yourself in nature. It is an old renovated barn with a magnificent view over the Mugello valley. It has a patio where you can eat outside and enjoy the surrounding nature. It is the perfect place to get away from the city, but an excellent starting point to reach cities such as Florence, Pisa or Siena. The classic Tuscan style finishes will surround you and by opening the door you will be in a magnificent chestnut forest. The apartment overlooks the valley of Mugello, backs on to the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and is surrounded by woods of oak and chestnut trees, interrupted here and there by little allotments of vegetable garden and olive trees.
The old farmhouse has been brought back to its original structure and the apartments have kept the typical rural characteristics of the hilly district of Mugello, at the same time offering all modern comforts.
The apartment consists of one bedroom, one bathroom and a breakfast-room, where you can find everything you need to cook by yourself.
This is the ideal place to visit, alone or with friends, for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The garden is organized so that it is possible to relax in privacy. There are plenty of footpaths for those keen on walking, mountain biking and trekking.
A little swimming pool will refresh your hot days here und will amuse your children. Other facilities, such as a private football ground, a ping-pong table are put at your disposal for a total relax.
In our farm you will be in direct touch with the nature and the peasants’ everyday life of the hilly district of Mugello. If you are interested in knowing more about the products of our land, you could also directly join the landlady on the field, trying to get acquainted with the tricks of the trade.
The farm produces chestnuts, kitchen-garden products and extra virgin olive oil. The establishment is situated 600 meters above sea level and enjoys a panoramic view.
It’s only 8 km away from Vicchio di Mugello, an old village enclosed by walls dating back to the fourteenth century. Vicchio is the native town of renowned artists such as Giotto and Beato Angelico.
