Emily's Apartment is located in the historic center of the city of Viana do Castelo, next to a spectacular garden by the river, with a marina, close to beaches.
Historical monuments can be visited, including the Sanctuary of Stª Luzia, with views over the city.
It is a land of many festivals and pilgrimages where folk dance and sing to the sound of concertinas.
Its cuisine is excellent and prices are very affordable.

Viana experience
The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable,very well equipped and a welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates was a nice touch.The apartment is very well situated for exploring the city and there is plenty to see there and the surrounding area.Luisa and Jose were lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful,we thank them for making our stay so enjoyable.

An amazing stay in an amazing location
The property owners were very helpful and welcoming. The apartment is beautiful, clean, wonderfully equipped AND in a great location. My wife and I stayed at Jose and Luisa's flat for four nights and really enjoyed it. The flat has a nice, central location in Viana do Castelo. It's a great place for a couple or a couple with a child to stay. The flat is immaculate and it's quiet at night. The living room and each bedroom have individual heating/cooling equipment and we used the heating equipment in February for the rooms we occupied. We used the kitchen to make our own breakfast and dinner, and it was easy since the flat has a full complement of quality cooking pans, plates, and utensils. The appliances are all Bosch and Siemens - really nice equipment. There is no parking really in the town center, so you'd be saving yourself a lot of hassle by using Jose and Luisa's parking space across the street. The additional price was very reasonable, and the parking space was really large. Viana is a great base from which to explore the Minho area of Portugal. Finally, Jose and Luisa met us at the flat to let us in, give us the keys, and give us an orientation of the flat and how things worked. This was really helpful and we appreciated the time they spent with us (including walking us through the parking). Finally, they left us fruit and some wonderful Pasteles de Nata desserts as a welcome gift. We really appreciated this. We recommend this flat - it's a great choice. Brilliant apartment in Viana
Situated perfectly in the town centre with easy access to restaurants, sites of interest, the beaches as well as local shops and amenities - the train station with good links to Porto and Vigo is less than a ten minute walk. The apartment was generously equipped with everything we could possibly have needed and also has a lovely little balcony upon which we spent several pleasant evenings. Communication was superb from Jose and nothing was too much trouble. The place genuinely felt like a home away from home. Viana itself is a hidden treasure and if you wish to have a relaxing break in a beautiful, laid back town with plenty to keep you occupied and a number of very good and reasonably priced restaurants it is highly recommended. We certainly intend to return and will be very happy to stay in Jose’s apartment on our next visit.

Thank you Luisa and José for your patience due to our late flight and the welcome pack. We have stayed in many places and Emily's apartment is by far one the best equipped. We didn't miss a thing, there was even toiletries. The apartment is very modern and comfortable especially the beds with cotton bed linen. The parking lot was just a cross the street and open 24 hrsalso the supermarket only a 10min walk. . Viana is a pretty town and everything is only a stroll away. Highly recommend these hosts and their beautiful property. Altamente recomendable este piso por su comodidad, equipación(hasta cosas de aseo), limpieza y localización. Sus camas son muy cómodos y sábanas de algodón. No faltaba detalle especialmente en la cocina. El parking en frente abierto las 24horas y el supermercado a 10mins de pie. Emily's Apartment was everything we needed and Luisa & Jose were the perfect hosts who couldn't do enough to help us, from the welcome to sorting out a parking permit. Apartment was impeccably clean and of the highest quality with all mod cons.
