"Everything you need for a wind-down in the country. All you could need is provided in the clean and comfortable gite. Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. Genial hosts with good local knowledge, friendly and discrete. "

"The Hobogite is beautifully presented and the owners supply a generous welcome pack, which is a great help for weary travellers. The exclusive use of the swimming pool is a great plus. The area is tranquil and extremely pretty. We loved staying here- just right for 2 people."

"The gite was wonderful, everthing possible was there for the guests use….torch, matches, cleaning products, extra toilet rolls etc. We were welcomed with the most amazing pack of food products including beer & wine. The bed is super comfortable with additional blankets if needed, the large shower is great as well. The area/local towns were a little too quiet for us but we made the most of it….and it is out of season. "

"Idyllic setting in a tiny village surrounded by farmland. Plenty of walks with very little traffic to worry about. Small town nearby with a couple of restaurants and a supermarket. Historic town of Cognac under an hour away with plenty of shops and bars. The property itself is superb. Very well kitted out with everything that you could possibly need. It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place for a bit of quiet time and a place to relax. Heated pool and a games room with snooker table...

"After initially staying for 10 days we then went to the Dordogne for a week. I wish we’d have stayed here the whole time! Still you live and learn. The gite is very clean, well equipped with a lovely modern bathroom and kitchen with plenty of space to park your car. I have to say I’m a bit fussy, bringing my own bedding and towels but I didn’t need them here. The pristine white bedding and towels were changed every 5 days. "We enjoyed a lovely week at the Gite. The house was a very comfortable , cool, converted barn with a well equipped kitchen / dining room and a nice outside space for eating too. The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside.
