Overall this is a good central location close to public parking and just outside the city walls.
My sister, I and some of our family members were staying in Verona because we have relatives living in the area and wanted a place for 3 nights nearby.
I had booked with VRBO well in advance and when one of the family members looked into it independently…they thought it might be a scam.
It was very difficult to verify and in the end we just had to pull the trigger and hope for the best. I had rented a place in Venice for the days prior, both from the same VRBO site and there was no problem with that one.
I had arranged with Sirmone to meet with my relatives a month prior to the stay so they could verify the location was legit and give us suggestions for meeting places and/or restaurants.
When they showed up for an appointment, Simone did not show up. They had driven a long distance, waited 30 min, called him & what they told me was he was unable to meet with him and they were unable to schedule another appointment before our stay because of his availability.
When I followed up with VRBO they explained this was a legitimate rental property and that Simone had got into a car accident on the way to the appointment.
Finding the place was a nightmare because my internet did not work in Italy. When I called Simone he was helpful. With all the one way, and narrow streets, it was ridiculously that we didn’t get the address sooner!
