Rustic modern apartment with atmosphere at Lago Maggiore

Vecchia Scuderia means Old Stable in Italian. And this is precisely what the building was before the Lauster family transformed it into a beautiful luxury apartment. It borders the estate of the 'Casa degli amici' (see property No. 20227) on the upper side above the gardens and closes off the compound against the village plaza. The bordering garden offers our guests a quiet place amongst palms, rhododendrons, camellias and fig trees, a place for a quiet read or a siesta. The village of Biganzolo is located on the west bank of Lago Maggiore, about 18 miles from Ascona in Switzerland heading south, or about 40 miles drive from Milano Malpensa Airport, going north. Biganzolo is one of the many small romantic villages nestled on the hill sides along the lake. These villages are known for their art crafts and cooking.

The environment: Lago Maggiore although known to be a tourist attraction, remains rather unspoilt by mass tourism or for instance the Toscana. The Alps to the north and the mountainous surroundings of this area offer a wonderful opportunity for outdoor activities. Val Grande National Park, to mention one of many hiking opportunities (located only minutes by car from Biganzolo) is an undiscovered around multifaceted paradise for hikers. The area is also becoming known for mountain biking. Hiking offers trails to roaring waterfalls in wild canyons, mountain streams, beech and chestnut forests and little stone villages, mostly abandoned, built centuries ago from stones quarried from the mountain sides. At the end of trails you might find an eight hundred year old church or monastery or a quaint little village in which to have ice cream and a cool drink of water. Views from the mountain tops are breathtaking and always worth the effort.

Further Information: Also there is the lake: scheduled ferries connect all villages and towns along the huge lake, but the highlights are of course the Borromeo islands (Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatore) which offer castles, botanical gardens and restaurants with incredible views. These islands are perfect for interesting outings and romantic dinners. Visit the numerous cultural and social events at Stresa and Pallanza, Locarno and Ascona.

Wunderbare Wohnung
Eine sehr gepflegte Ferienwohnung mit einem wundervollen Ausblick in die Gärten des Anwesens auf den See und die Berge. Die Wohnung ist komfortabler ausgestattet als derzeit beschrieben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer und der Verwalterin verlief überaus angenehm. Biganzolo ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt zu Sehenswürdigkeiten am Lago und zum Wandern. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Schön gelegene großzügig geschnittene Wohnung
Eine sehr schön gestaltete Wohnung mit angenehm großen Räumen. Das Bad hat eine tolle neue ebenerdige Dusche und ein Bidet. Auch sonst fand sich alles, was wir brauchten. Einzig das Sitzmöbel im Wohnzimmer empfanden wir leider etwas unbequem, denn wir saßen auch ab und zu abends drinnen, um nicht völlig von den Mücken aufgefressen zu werden. Am Haus gibt es keinen festen Parkplatz. Manchmal muss man etwas weiter entfernt parken, wenn am Haus nichts frei ist. Verpflegung kann man sich in Intra besorgen. Man benötigt aber ein Fahrzeug. Fußläufig sind eine empfehlenswerte Pizzeria und eine Badestelle mit Kiesel/Steinstrand zu erreichen. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen! Mit tollem Ausblick auf den See und etwas ruhiger gelegen war die Wohnung für uns ein super Ausgangspunkt für viele schöne Ausflüge.

Traumhafter Urlaub
Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub am Lago Maggiore. Die Ferienwohnung oder besser noch gesagt das Haus ist in traumhafter Lage mit Blick auf den See und wunderschöne Gärten im Ort Biganzolo. Vor Ort wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr groß und sehr geräumig mit einem großen Balkon. In der sehr sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung hat es an nichts gefehlt. Vom Ort aus kann man viel unternehmen und es wird nie langweilig neues zu entdecken. Wir haben uns die Woche hier sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder einmal.

Eine Wohlfühlferienwohnung mit Seeblick
Wir wurden im Vorfeld sehr gut informiert und die Schlüsselübergabe verlief problemlos vor Ort. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt in der Ferienwohnung Toce, überall entdeckt man schöne Details, alles ist sehr gut und liebevoll ausgestattet, z.B. ist für jegliche Vorliebe der Kaffeezubereitung gesorgt - es fehlt an nichts, alles war sehr sauber. Der Garten war auch Anfang März schon ein Paradies und wir erfreuten uns an dem palmenumrahmten See- und Bergblick. Der Ort ist sehr malerisch und wir waren in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß in einer sehr gastfreundlichen Pizzeria. Herzlichen Dank an den Vermieter Herr Lauster und an Frau Martinelli vor Ort!

Alles da, was man braucht.
Schöne, sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Lage. Zum Strand gelangt man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß. Besonders schön die Aussicht vom Balkon und der bezaubernde Garten.

Toller Urlaub am Lago
Wir haben uns vom ersten bis zu letzten Tag super gefühlt und hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man braucht. Die Küche ist extrem gut ausgestattet und der Balkon ist umwerfend mit einem tollen Blick über der See. Wir kommen wieder!

Logement très agréable, très bien équipé et très cozy
Très bon accueil et très grande gentillesse de la propriétaire qui parle très bien français et de son ami. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce petit village bercé par les cloches de l'église. Un peu de bruit le matin et le soir au niveau des chambres lié à la proximité de la route du village et du parking sur la place. Agréable séjour.

Traumhafte Unterkunft!! Mit Blick auf Lago und Berge, Garten und Villa. Ein Paradies!
Wunderschöne, große Wohnung mit großem Sonnenbalkon, toller Aussicht, schöner Einrichtung und guter Ausstattung. Super Lage zum Wandern, an den See oder ins Städtchen gehen. Auch einfach zuhause bleiben ist bei Balkon, großem, verwunschenen Garten mit Palmen und lauschigen Plätzchen, großer Küche und gemütlicher Sofalandschaft mit Kamin sehr attraktiv. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem: Absolut empfehlenswert!! Besser geht´s nicht. Wir kommen wieder. Unsere Woche war ein Traum. Danke für diesen tollen Urlaub!

Herausragende Lage
Die Wohnung ist für eine Ferienwohnung sehr gut ausgestattet. Der geräumige Balkon bietet einen eindrucksvollen Blick auf den Lago Maggiore und den wunderbar gepflegten Garten, der jetzt im Frühjahr mit einer wahren Blütenpracht sich darbot. Der kurze Weg nach Intra, ist in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.
