The only hitch was that when we arrived, the driveway gate was locked and when we rang the bell it was some time before it was opened. "Our five night stay in this beautiful chateau was a delight. It is set in lovely countryside and is very quiet and peaceful. It is an excellent base for exploring northern Normandy. "Fantastic stay. Sandra (the owner) was amazing, really responsive, and went the extra mile with my daughter, who loved feeding the animals. Setting and history of the building is incredible. If you are planning to visit D-Day beaches, British memorial and museum you could not pick a better location. Lovely little bakery around the corner too, which we walked to every morning. 5* without doubt, and we will definitely be heading back. "

"The farmhouse was a great experience for our family. The character and layout had us wondering what life was like there in the 18th century but we still had all the amenities we enjoy today including a hot tub that our younger daughter loved. Plenty of room and ample kitchen which allowed us to cook after long days touring all of Normandy.
