Amazing Stay at the Merry Mermaid
Everything about our stay here was amazing. The location near the beach, having our dog with us, the house itself is adorable. Our host Jenny checked in right away and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy beach bungalow
My family and I stayed at the Merry Mermaid while in town for a wedding. The space was so cozy and inviting, and stayed cool with constant sun. Walking to the beach every morning was a huge highlight, and the beds were very comfortable as well! Hoping to get back here again some day.

Perfect for us!
We enjoy visiting Ventura and Jen's place was definitely charming and relaxing. Just a block from the beach and a few blocks from good restaurants, the cottage is perfect for us and our small dog. We'll be back!

A Place for My Parents
We live in Ventura and needed a place for my parents. This was perfect. Great spot, great location and the cottage has everything they could need. I will try to book it for future visits of friend and family

Great location. Easy access to the beach and restaurants. If you’re interested in using bikes, you will need to let management know prior to your arrival. Also, the washer and dryer are in a cabinet in the backyard. If you plan to cook, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes, everything needed to make a meal. It was a great stay. Ventura Beach Pierpont by the Sea
A wonderful place to stay, it was clean, quaint, and simple. It was advertised properly and made our family business reunion special. I rarely write a review, this was such a nice place that it was a simple way of saying "thank you." It accommodated three adults in a very nice way that was comfortable and not overcrowded. The art work and mermaid theme was very welcoming. Thank you for making this a wonderful week.

Simply The Best
The Merry Mermaid was the most enjoyable rental we've ever experienced - and there have been many! The home was clean and cozy, bright and relaxing. The beds were amazing and the towels were fluffy. The neighborhood was adorable and so much was within walking distance. We particularly loved Juice Swell just a few blocks away - the avocado toast, smoothies and coffee were amazing. The kids loved the frozen yogurt place and Social Tap had good food. We were so happy to experience staying at such a special place!

East coast to west coast visit made easy!
This place was great! It was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen was nice. We cooked a lot and found everything. We loved the bedroom with the sitting/tv area. We loved the beach or marina walks close by. Dukes was around the corner and we could walk to the grocery store. The host was super responsive. We were able to visit with our family in area easily. Charming Property!
This charming beach house was a great home base for exploring the Ventura area. It was a block from the beach and conveniently located by restaurants and a grocery store. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for anyone who wants to cook. We loved the beach themed decor to remind us how close to the beach we were! Communication with Jen was very good and she was quick to accommodate us when we had to make a change in our plans. Check in and check out was easy.. We would recommend this property!

Nice house with easy access to beach. All beach equipment you would ever want. Only problem, and it's the same with all VRBO's and hotels is you have to check out so early on the last day, that you DON'T get a 3rd day at beach, or ?? Places should start charging you 1/2 for that last day.

The Marvelous Merry Mermaid and MaryAnn
The cairns at the entryway signal that you have found your perfect beach getaway. No detail has been ignored in this rental. The decorations are cute and calming and the furniture is comfortable and functional. There are beach chairs, toys and cruisers (I dubbed the one with the coconut holder the MaryAnn as a nod to "Gilligan's Island) for your use. The kitchen has everything you need (including some local libations). Even the notebook has been lovingly written. You can tell the owners have an immense fondness of friendly Ventura. It takes a savvy person to run the perfect vacation rental. It is even more extraordinary when the owners are compassionate. We had a little hiccup with our travel plans, but Jenny was kind enough to work with us. She is easy to communicate with every step of the way. If you are looking for a beach getaway in Ventura, do not hesitate booking this gem.
