The hotel is in an amazing location, close to all the key attractions, as well as restaurants and shops Staff are very helpful in providing information you may need, such as transport options, restaurant recommendations etc The property is very clean and I must commend their staff regarding this I had a fabulous stay!

Great stay!
Nice and cosy location (even it was a bit struggling to go there from the train station with a heavy suit case). Great service. Not the best breakfast, but quite okay. Okay to share wc/shower, doesn't effect the feeling of privacy. Nice with a wash basin in the room though. Dripping a bit from the air conditioner.

Quaint, clean, comfortable...good location too!
Within walking distance of St. Mark's Square, situated on a small canal, the Locanda Silva was clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk person; check-in was quick. Note that the front desk is up one flight of stairs, and then two flights of stairs to our room, which was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower is on the small side, but manageable. There was an armoire, desk, and wall TV. Reading lamp on the nightstands (thank you!). The front desk is manned until 11pm. Breakfast comes with the room; served at 8am in a community dining room. Hot breakfast items, pastries, fruit, coffee; all delicious! We enjoyed our nightly walk from St. Mark's Square through the neighborhood and along the canal.

The room was a typical room you can expect in a European hotel, but it gets 5 stars for the location, view and friendliness of the staff. I was amazed to be able to find such an affordable hotel in such a beautiful location. It's within walking distance from several restaurants and major attractions, but the hotel itself is located on a little side street where almost no tourists go, so you're getting the true Venetian experience. This is also the only hotel I've stayed at in Europe that had a proper front desk. GPS is HIGHLY recommended, as the property will be very difficult to find without it. The only thing I will complain about is the breakfast lady was a little annoying. She kept coming over to our table and putting food on it, when we just wanted to be left alone and grab what WE want ourselves. She also rationed out the meat, which is the one thing we wanted more of.
