Had we known the resort was closing within days of our stay we would NEVER had booked this place . Pictures were deceiving. When we chexhed in the reception should have made us aware and been more transparent that the resort was closing downs in a few days . Only one restaurant one open , no shops were open , spa was closed , food became More and more limited during our three night stay . We paid to have and use ALL these services but couldn’t since resort was shutting down , very very very disappointing to say the least . Why would I have spend $1700 Eu there for NO services ????? I could Have been somewhere where I had more than one option to eat and a spa to enjoy . Sadly BUT I don’t see It happening a full refund would have been the proper thing etiquettely to do BUT don’t foresee that happening 😟 So NO NOT recommended At the moment !!!!! If the hotel reaches out to me and does the proper treatment I’ll be happy to come back and fill you all in

The staff is very welcoming and provided everything needed. The island is lovely. Once they heated the rooftop pool it was good. The food is delicious, many breakfast choices try the pimodoro upstairs or the ravioli in room . There is a water taxi charge if using other hours than shuttle times but easy to arrange or wait for free shuttle times. Highly recommend for the James Bond Italy feel of arrival a water taxi. Enjoyed how kind and friendly everyone on the island is to guests.

This is not a "real" JW Marriott in terms of quality and value. The rooms are run down, the carpets in the hallways are dirty and old and the rooms are quite shabby. The bathroom in our room was in a bad condition with broken fixtures and poor quality finishes. I guess, when coming to Venice one must dial down the expectations one might have for the money but I don't understand how this property gets glowing reviews. We most definitely won't be back.

Okay, parents with kids know this. This is a beautiful property for adults. Yes, they have an indoor and rooftop pool, but all those are for adults. There is one pool on the Property for kids. That pool is an 8-minute walk from the lobby; it's outdoors in the heat. There are umbrellas and chairs. There is no diving or jumping. It had a pool bar with food, so there was no indoor pool for the kids. Plus, there is a difference between a junior suit and a suit. You can add roll-in beds for the junior suite, but it looks wrong. I don't know; I expected better. I paid a private taxi 200 euros to take me there. It was just such a waste of time—two hundred euros to the airport. The shuttle only takes you to San Marco. I know we Americans recognize the name; it feels like we know them. But it's not an American Marriot.

The bell service is terrible and quite rude at times depending on who’s on duty. We asked for the luggage service for check out and never came. Spa service is average. It’s all about up selling to something not necessary better but for their benefits . It’s disappointed. Also, I was not impressed when I was told during check in that it was converted from a “tuberculosis hospital”!
