Ca'Marin-Canal view and private patio
A nice large apartment facing a traditional and sunny canal in a residential area not far from main famous sites. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with kitchen, a nice dining room and private courtyard where you will enjoy some unforgettable moments. Beautiful spot to live a magic holiday merged in a residential neighborhood with many little restaurants and food shops where you will enjoy our traditional foods. Great place to share with friends or for families. Wifi and A/C available
Very close to the train station and to Piazzale Roma (bus terminal) but also not far from Rialto bridge (the center of the town) and St. Mark square. The neighborhood has many very interesting monuments and sites as the Frari Church, the San Rocco and San Giovanni Evangelista Schools, the Natural and Sciences museum, the Cà Mocenigo Museum (ancient dresses and perfumes) and the Cà Pesaro Museum (modern art). Enjoy some magic moments at the courtyard outside one of the two bedrooms as a perfect place for breakfast or a cocktail. You find two bedrooms (one of these, on-demand, with twin or kingsize bed), two bathrooms, and a large and spacious dining room facing the canal. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. High-speed wifi will complete a perfect stay. The washer is available. The apartment has been sanitized following national and regional prescriptions for accommodations.

Location was amazing and in a quiet part of the city. Local restaurants, shops and gondola ride was excellent! Flat was clean, comfortable and relaxing place to come back to after a busy day in crowd and walking.
Highly recommend!
Great location, in suite amenities could have been better
This place is in a great location, walking distance to everything and especially a little supermarket. Nice to be on the ground floor, no stairs inside the suite which was great since we had a few pieces of luggage. Air conditioning worked great.
Not many things in the suite itself, could have used some coffee filters, paper towels, hand towels. Other than that, I would recommend this place!
The property was very much what we expected. We were looking for a quieter neighborhood in Venice since we were coming from a noisier area in Florence. Was able to sleep very comfortably at night, great sleep and no nightly noises disturbing us. We did have to walk a distance to get to the areas of interest so that would be the only challenge. But it’s Venice! You walk everywhere and that is the charm
The location of this apartment was fantastic! Communication with the property owners was excellent and they gave us many helpful hints to enjoying an authentic view of Venice in addition to the usual sights. We connected with an acquaintance of the owner to get a private boat ride from the airport directly to the apartment which was so amazing! Ernst the key holder met us at our arranged time and also gave us suggestions for local restaurants and answered questions when we had them throughout our stay. Only comments are that it was 3/5 clean (floors, dishes) and there is really only sitting room space for two.
We were warmly greeted by our host, who opened a map and spent about 20 minutes, sharing all the best nearby spots for meals, coffee, pastries, and grocery shopping. He also gave us local info, to help us maximize the little time we had in our short stay—which sites to see, what to avoid, how to get around. We really appreciated the extra attention and all the advice he shared! It really helped us make the most of our 2 days in Venice.
The apartment was fine for our short stay, with views out the front window of an inner canal—along with locals and tourists walking inches from the windows. Not a lot of privacy, so the heavy curtains covering the windows are nice. The kitchen is set up for simple meals, but we chose to dine in the various cafes and restaurants of Venice. The main fridge was broken, so they installed a small, dorm size fridge—which leaked water all over the kitchen when our son had to unplug it to plug in the washing machine for a load of laundry.
It can be really challenging to understand the layout of a flat from the VRBO listing photos. This apartment said it could sleep 6-8, and we thought there were 3 bedrooms, but there ended up only being 2 rooms—each with one double/queen bed. Additional guests are expected to sleep on a pullout couch and 2 pullout chairs, in the living/dining area. We had 4 adults booked to stay in this rental, and discovered at bedtime that the pullout couch and both chairs were broken. Our college age son somehow made it work, but it wasn’t a comfortable 2 nights of sleep for him. We reached out to our hosts about this situation, but didn’t hear back from them.
The apartment is away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas in Venice, which was nice. But it can be challenging to get cell phone coverage, as you’re finding your way to Venice hot spots. Not a reflection on our rental, but important to know when you visit. It can be an adventure finding your way around, with cell coverage coming and going. Another reason we were so thankful for the paper map our host gave us at our welcome!
We had mixed feelings about this rental stay. We really enjoyed and appreciated the extra attention and assistance of our host when he greeted us. But we were disappointed about the sleeping situation, the hassle with the small replacement fridge leaking, and some black mold on a wood beam in one of the bedrooms, as one of our family members has a severe mold allergy.
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Not too far from the train station and close to the grocery store. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and Gabriella was there at checkin to make recommendations and walk us thru the apartment.
A little further from St Mark's Square, but we learned our way by the end of the stay...only a 15-20 minute walk.
Our stay was lovely. We left tired and Happy. The home was clean . The location was great and very accessible, ground floor so no stairs to drag the luggage up. The grocery store was just a few doors away. The bed in the back bedroom was not comfortable . The seating in the living room was not all useable. Hopefully we can return. Sylvia
Loved our time. Nice cool home. Air conditioners worked great. We had a lovely time. Walked a lot and your home was great to come home to at the end of a long hot day. August!
First of all, communication was impeccable. My phone kept trying to give the address as the bus stop. Even though the pin was correct. Venice was in the middle of a heat wave (106F), but the AC was so good that we woke up FROZEN!!!!!! It was a really cute location, really cute place, and best communication ever! Tons of great restaurants around, and a market to buy groceries 200 feet away!
Great location, close to the train station! Loved that it was right on the canal and a little bit quieter of a location....yet so close to all the happening spots.
Ca Marin worked out great for us! Super cute, even more super location, little grocery store just steps away. No negatives here.

Great place to stay if you want to see Venice!
Pleasant, clean, well appointed apartment right on a canal. Host we met is friendly and kind. Gabriella (Federico away) went out of her way to meet us and bring us to Ca Marin. Local bakeries, grocery store, automated cash machine all nearby. Excellent restaurants, cheap and expensive, all good, locally. Central location with nearby vaporetto makes getting to anything you want to see in Venice easy (and cheap, if you buy a week-long ticket). All in all, a wonderful visit.

GOOD OCATION AND SIZE
Two bedroom 2 bathroom although smallish size bathroom does the job.. Host most pleasant. Location is great with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Watch gondolas glide by your lounge room window. Would recommend for 4 persons.

Comfortable, Clean and Friendly
This apartment had everything we needed and was in great condition. It was an easy walk to transportation and was just very pleasant in general. The person who met us at the apartment was very helpful and answered all our questions. It was a comfortable place to relax after a long day in Venice.

Ca Marin, very nice
This little two bedroom apartment is very conveniently located in close proximity of the Venice Train station, less then a 10 min walk. It's location allowed us to walk to most of the attractions that we decided to take in during our Venice stay. It sits on a canal, and has all of the amenities of an apartment including a clothes washer. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, nice size living/dining area, a small terrace and highly valued air conditioning! Highly recommend it...

Great location, great place, and great owners!
Historic Venice (the Lagoon) may be small, but you have to remember that there are no vehicles here. Getting around requires a great deal of walking, and alleys are narrow. And Cà Marin apartment is one of the best places to stay; it's a stone's throw away from the train station! You'd appreciate how easy it is to find this place. And you wouldn't have to haul your luggage very far.
The apartment is great. It's very clean and functional. The beds are nice and clean. Some (especially those from the US) may think the beds are small. But by European/Italian standard, they're perfect. Remember, this apartment is in historic Venice. Space is a premium. And each room has its own AC and there is a washing machine if you need to do laundry.
There's also a grocery store (Conad) nearby, about 4 houses away (a minute walk) to get some fruits, bread, water, etc.
Federico and Cristina were great. They are a friendly couple who wants to make sure your stay is a good one. If you got any questions or concern, just ask them.

Great
So, the positives: Federico was GREAT. We came in late due to some flight issues and he still agreed to meet us with the keys well beyond the agreed time. Thank you!
Loved the location, plenty of space for 4 of us (especially considering you're usually out all day!), wifi was great (2 teenagers) and the kitchen (appointed with just enough) and washing machine were appreciated. We also just happened to be in town for the biggest annual celebration Venice has each year and really enjoyed the lively time, fireworks and community atmosphere.
Negatives: Listing says Air Conditioning, but there was none. Obviously VERY hot in July so we had the windows open at night. There are no screens and the mosquitos were UNBELIEABLE! We did not get much sleep over our 4 nights there.
We did love our trip to Venice, but could wish for protection from those vampire-mosquitos!
