Ca' Nigra is the best. Mia and Narcisso at the desk are wonderful, they had great suggestions. The hotel is an oasis and off the beaten path: quiet, great rooms, and literally the only green spot that I saw in Venice. You have your own private rose garden on the grand canal! Truly a fabulous stay.

Ca' Nigra Lagoon Resort is a lovely old hotel. The building is over 150 years old. It is well positioned for the main train station in Venice - 5 minutes walk. The rear garden overlooks the Grand Canal. Everything is within walking distance from this hotel. The staff were very friendly and offered loads of tips about where to visit during our 2 day stay. The room was clean and spacious and served its purpose. I would definitely recommend.

In a word: FANTASTIC! Staff, facility, location, view, garden, comfortable beds. Really couldn't have been better! Reception was lovely - I am so very sorry I don't remember their names, but they were both welcoming, helpful and kind. Definitely plan to return.

Ca'Nigra is located further away from the crowds with easy access to the water bus to explore the city. Additionally it is a 3 min walk to the closest supermarket and there is an amazing coffee shop right across the bridge. The garden is beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed hanging there before dinner to have a drink and enjoy watching the boats and people.

It was about a 5-minute walk from the station, which was very convenient. The water bus station is near the hotel, so we could go around wherever we wanted to visit. Our room was just next to the front desk, sometimes noisy a little bit. I can understand it is not easy to fix everything in this traditional place, but I didn't like the broken wall in the bathroom. It looked dirty. If you are a germaphobe, it may be uncomfortable...

The hotel stuff is very helpful and nice! However, the hotel is too old and dirty. The room design is also very old style and may make you feel a little bit scary. Not recommended.

Great hotel, 5 minutes from Venice train station. 20/25 minutes to Rialto/San Mark. Lots of restaurants and bars around. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Room is clean, large bottles of shampoo/body wash.

What an amazing experience, such a beautiful oasis in the middle of the hectic peak tourist season in Venice. Wonderful staff, beautiful room, cannot recommend this property enough. Simply amazing.
