Beautiful Gaffaro Apartment in Dorsoduro with Canal View

This charming second-floor apartment was completely restored and refurbished in 2004. Features Italian marble floors, hand-cut mosaic detail in the bathroom, Venetian chandeliers.

Master bedroom with full-size double bed, parquet flooring, fitted wardrobe, Venetian chandelier. Sofa bed in living room pulls out to double bed.
The kitchen is fully fitted and is divided from the living room by a worktop and breakfast bar. Living room has sofa and dining table for 6.
It has air conditioning, floor heating and internet wi-fi.

Our apartment is located in the university district and just two bridges from Campo Santa Margherita which is noted on Public Places ''60 of the Worlds Greatest Places'' list and it is the largest square in Venice and a popular hangout for Venetians young and not so young. It has a great choice of restaurants and cafes and a vegetable and fish market. You can sit in the sun and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by.


The Gaffaro apartment (named after the bridge it overlooks) is conveniently located for your arrival and departure as it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station at Piazzale Roma. You can walk to Rialto in 15 minutes and get to St. Mark's square in 20 minutes by taking the vaporetto at San Toma'.

Great location

Perfect location to view Italian life. From the ease of getting to the apartment from the train station or bus station, to just viewing everyday life on the sidewalks and canals. The view from the windows in the apartment is beautiful. The unit is stocked with a great amount of supplies to get your vacation started.We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Apartment and Comfortable Stay!!

Apartment was very neat and clean; Sebastiano was very nice, he met us at the apartment, explained everything and was always available via WhatsApp. He even accommodated early check-in as our train arrived early. All in all a very memorable stay for our family.

Great location with canal view

Host Sebastiano was friendly, informative, and available. We loved that the property is a short walk to the bus depot yet far enough away to be out of sight. There is a view of two canals complete with occasional gondolas passing by. Super clean, and well appointed for two people. As stated in the ad, it is up two flights of stairs, but we are in our 70's and had no trouble. Close to several restaurants and a short walk to the Conad grocery. Overall it was a great place to serve as the base for our extended stay in Venice. Highly recommended.

Our Venice stay

Venice was our first stop for our 3 weeks in Italy. After our perfect stay in gaffaro apartment we can only hope the rest of our trip is as wonderful! The accommodations, location and welcoming check in was the best way to start our journey. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable to any/all Venice highlights! We highly recommend Gaffaro apartment with Sebastiano.

Perfect apartment

The apartment is in a great location close to the train/bus station and good restaurants, whilst still being quiet during the night. It has a fantastic view of the canals too. Sebastiano was a great host and incredibly helpful. We look forward to staying here again when we are next in Venice.

Our stay was amazing. The host was very accommodating, explained everything and answered all of our questions. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Loved the location. It was walking distance to the bus,train and water bus. We will definitely be back.

Great location reasonably priced

We had a great stay at this property. Sebastian’s met us on time and provided us with a tour of the property, and suggestions for touring the area. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped with full kitchen washing machine R and ample storage and had some of the best views in Venice right from your windows. Would definitely stay there again when we return to venice

Great apartment with beautiful canal view

Wonderful stay in Venice. The apartment provides everything we need with a beautiful canal view. Plenty eateries, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Less than 5 min walk to bus station and 10 min walk to the train station, super convenient location. The host Sebastiano is very friendly and patient. He provides some great tips about how to get to get around Venice. Highly recommend!

An absolute gem of an experience!!

Our host was fantastic. He took the time to give us wonderful suggestions of places to eat, things to see, and vendors to use. He was incredibly responsive and friendly. Went above and beyond with customer service. The apartment is in a great area of town. Easily walkable to food and transportation! Lots of space for our family to have breakfast each morning. Kitchen had all the necessities we could need. Having laundry in the apartment was a nice touch. Wi-fi signal was strong. I was able to work and the kids were able to stream a movie at night. Highly suggest!!

A great stay in Venice

We had a fantastic stay in Venice, and the historic property is ideally located for arrival, departure, and getting around in Venice on foot or by boat. And with a great view onto the canals! Sebastiano met us outside when we arrived and gave us all of the information we needed about the property and to make the most of our time in Venice. He was also available throughout our stay if we needed anything further. I would highly recommend his place!

This apartment is very close to the train station but still far enough away from the tourist traps. I LOVE the neighborhood and the convenience. The views were STUNNING and the host was helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and again!

Charming apartment for a great stay in Venice

This nice apartment is very conveniently located for exploring all the sights by vaporetto or on foot. There is also a supermarket and a bakery nearby. The owner informed us in advance about the way to the apartment and then welcomed us personally and explained everything to us, many thanks for that. We felt comfortable in this apartment and would book it again for a visit to Venice.

A perfect stay

Wonderful apartment in a quieter part of Venice and a 10min walk from Santa Lucia train station. Beautiful view of canal greets you in the morning and we walked to the major sights. And also a big thank you to our host Sebastiano, who is so kind and understanding when our train was delayed and still met us at the apartment at midnight. Hope to be back one day!
