"Foi muito fácil combinar tudo com a gerência do estabelecimento. Embora tenhamos feito o check in tarde fomos muito bem recebidos pela Elisabete que nos mostrou a casa e nos deu um mapa e imensas dicas de sítios para visitar e comer. A casa é muito gira e acolhedora e fica localizada numa zona calma e bastante bonita perto do mar. Deixaram-nos um cesto de boas vindas com coisas típicas da ilha que apreciámos bastante. Adorámos a casa e a estadia no Pico :) "

"A fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo é um dos lugares de visita obrigatório em S. Jorge. Embora não tenha acesso de carro, existem dois trilhos que permitem o acesso ao lugar. Fizemos o trilho mais pequeno e demorámos aproximadamente 1 hora (levávamos crianças connosco). Alternativamente, este trilho pode ser feito com moto4. Vários habitantes locais fornecem esse serviço aos turistas para facilitar a entrada e saída da fajã. O nosso anfitrião (o Miguel), também se disponiblizou para nos facilitar...

Wonderful stay in Urzelina

"Nice area to sit outside, well stocked kitchen, each room has a cabinet for items, basket of fruit from owner’s garden and lovely cake was on one of the tables for guests to enjoy. Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path. "

Excellent off the beaten track hotel

"Our stay was very enjoyable. The property is very unique and picturesque. The small cottages with a couple rooms each are very quiet. The grounds are very old and beautiful. They are cobble stone and so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent and breakfast had a good variety. "

"The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The location of this hotel was perfect! If you want to see the stone arch, it is next door to the hotel. If you want to swim in the natural pool, it is on the other side of the hotel. The hotel also has a pool and lovely grounds. The breakfast is great, as well. Sao Jorge Gardens if definitely a place I will stay again."
