This is a lovely accommodation with gracious hosts. The spacious first-floor kitchen and living room offered plenty of space for a family of five, and our three children enjoyed playing in the large yard. The property's central location is perfect for exploring Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, and nearby villages. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We loved staying here. The house was well equipped and had plenty of space for us. The location is excellent for exploring the area. Jerome was an excellent host - communication was really good and we really enjoyed the pastries!
Only a short distance to Bayeux (5 minutes drive), but very secluded and peaceful.
Easy access to all the main places of interest in the area.
The cottage had all we needed to make our stay comfortable, with all of the rooms being a decent size for their purpose.
Would recommend the cottage and the owners, who provided us with pastries and french stick the first morning, to anyone wanting to visit the area
The Country House came "as advertised". A great place to stay for our party of six adults. Very comfortable, very well equipped and in a great "country" location. Additionally, the owners (Jerome and Veronique) were excellent to communicate with and also left us with breakfast at our door on the first morning of our stay . . . tres bien indeed. A truly wonderful place that fit our needs completely. Merci beaucoup a Jerome et Veronique.
Very pleased with the accommodation. Clean and well equipped. Large garden for children to play safely in and not annoy any neighbours. Owners communicated well and although live next door not intrusive, but felt if anything was needed they would be more than willing to help. We enjoyed the location in this quiet hamlet, but only minutes by car to bakery and supermarket.
Stayed for a week and found the home to be very peaceful and quiet. Beds were very comfortable which was important after a long day. Hosts were lovely.
We enjoyed our peaceful stay for 4 nights exploring the D Day landing sites of Normandy. The property was clean, hosts were welcoming and it was extremely well equipped to a high standard with anything you may need during your stay. We particularly enjoyed the log burning fire and Jerome kindly provided more firewood when needed. We also appreciated the bread, pastries, coffee and orange juice provided by the hosts.
We loved our stay! Everything was perfect and comfy. We enjoyed family time nestled in a quiet French cottage which served as our homebase for exploring Normandy. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook some meals and even wash clothes. Jerome and Veronique were so nice and left some juice, water, coffee and pastries. We would definitely stay again if given the opportunity. Oh, I also loved birdwatching in the huge backyard. It was so soothing.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location, close to beautiful Bayeux and the landing beaches and supermarket close by, but really peaceful too. The house itself is very clean and comfortable with a beautiful garden. The hosts were very welcoming and the fresh pastries and bread on our first morning were very welcome. All in all we had a great week and would recommend this property and location.
Lovely house with large garden overlooking fields. Very clean. Ideal location for visiting the many interesting sites in Normandy and within easy reach of Bayeux. Large supermarket nearby. We very much enjoyed our stay here.
Jerome is a wonderful host. Super helpful and keeps the house clean. The property was exactly what our family was looking for during our stay in Normandy. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a spot within reach of Bayeux.
Our stay was very enjoyable. The area is very peaceful but close to areas we wished to visit while in France.. The short, steep stairs to upstairs bedrooms was a bit of a challenge for seniors but we managed quite well. Jerome is a very pleasant host and we enjoyed the pastries he brought us our first morning. Only regret…we didn’t stay longer 😊
As advertised. Owners were terrific, helpful and responsive. Thank you for the pastries! The ice cream stand (farm) down the street was amazing. Property was clean, spacious and very well organized.
Great location to Bayeau and all beach sites.
A wonderful stay.
A very comfortable house for our extended family. .Our hosts were very helpful. Good house for people with limited mobility . Great for DDay beaches and culture. We would go back very happily.
Very nice home, clean and quiet.
The country road to get there was not in a great shape it was raining heavily during our stay so the road was very muddy.
Had a problem with no hot water when we arrived but it was rectified quickly.
Very nice owner.
Very nice holiday home in a quiet neighborhood just outside Bayeux. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, two showers, two toilets, barbecue, oven…
4km to supermarket, 3 to a boulangerie. Friendly owner lives nextdoor. The only thing to wish for was a better WiFi network for the kids :-)
We had a lovely stay at Maison de Campagne. Jerome and Veronique met us on arrival and were lovely hosts. On the first morning we were left bread and pastries, and along with fresh orange juice left in the fridge, we had a delicious breakfast. The cottage was beautifully clean, warm and comfortable with all the equipment we needed. We found the location excellent for touring the sights of Normandy; we had a particular interest in seeing the WW2 sites such as Pégasus Bridge, the beaches, Longues-sur-Mer battery and Pointe de Hoc and it was easy to access these. We also spent a day in Bayeux to see the Tapestry and take in the sights. We were only a 5 minute drive from a local boulangerie for fresh bread every day and there is a large Carrefour less than 10 minutes driving away to stock up on provisions. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Hopefully we will be back at some point! Thank you Jerome and Veronique.
The property was lovely, spacious and comfortable. We had a very stressful two days prior to arriving at the home (rental car broken into, computers stolen, car broke down and towed). The owners of the property were very thoughtful and considerate to our situation. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The house was generous with everything will set up inside. Many nice towels, good beds, dishwasher and washing machine. Good Internet All the living areas were attractive, including a very nice sitting out area, and the weather was kind as well! Jerome brought us croissants and pastries on our first morning there, which really capped it off. whilst the property is in the country it is just on the edge of b”Bayeux making visits there easy for sightseeing and eating at the many excellent restaurant and it was also close to many of the beach landing museums. We only have good things to say about our stay there.
We loved this beautiful place. We were a group of seven (including two 10 years olds) and there was plenty of room for us all to eat, cook, sleep, play at the farmhouse and enjoy the sights around Normandy. Jerome was very kind and brought us croissants our first morning there after our long, complicated journey from Paris and Caen the previous evening. Our grandchildren enjoyed the expansive yard and walking to see the goats. We are hoping to return to Bayeux because we didn't get to see all the things we wanted to in four days. I would not stay any place else.
The hosts were lovely and welcoming. The location was great for Normandie touring, but the facilities were not capable of supplying enough hot water for showers, washing machine and dishwasher. Plus the downstairs WC was too small where your knees hit the door when in a seated position and the beds were low to the ground.
