"The hotel is cosy and situated by the sea. The breakfast is also very good. Sadly the hotel room air-conditioner was very loud and we had to keep it off whereas the room was exceptionally cold and affecting our sleep. As it is an animal friendly hotel, I would recommend it to other pet owners."

"To be honest this was the only hotel available at short notice. But it was clean and comfortable and good value for money. It was nice to be able to sit in the garden on a hot evening. It is a 15 minute walk to the big restaurants but it was quiet and the staff were friendly."

"First - I went to this property off-season. This review only pertains to off-season travel. Based on the Expedia add I expected a Viking themed experience. What I found was a regular motel. All of the "viking" amenities (in fact all amenities) are closed down off-season, even the front room with the viking-themed furniture and furs. "Bright, clean and fresh with all the facilities we needed to make the most of our stay. And the location was sublime - the perfect spot to chill and relax. Our landlord arriving by jet ski to welcome us was a special moment! One minor suggestion - an information guide on local attractions and facilities would help anybody new to the area, as we were."

"We had such a great time at Swallow house. The manager was courteous, friendly, and helpful. They stayed in contact and made sure we were comfortable. The wood-fired hot tub was dreamy. We saw lots of wildlife around in the evenings and enjoyed the row boat and walking paths. We would love to stay here again! Thanks so much!"
