Nice house
It was a nice stay, very quiet surroundings and amazing starry skies at night. Only, the rocky road towards the house in the end cost me 2 new car tires… The house was charming, however a bit dated and the kitchen and the big bathroom not so clean (the oven was still dirty from previous guests, so we did not use it). We loved the surroundings of the house; lots of room for our dog, however the owner told us upon our arrival that our dog was NOT allowed to swim in the pool. Maybe they should have mentioned that on the Vrbo site… We stayed in another house in the Provence which was much more luxurious and clean, so we found the costs for this particular house - although a very nice house - a bit steep. Conclusion: A very charming house and beautiful surroundings, but a bit dated and therefore too expensive.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit viel Ruhe
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem wundervollen Haus von Caroline und Jean-Luc. Es ist ein bisschen abseits gelegen, bietet dafür aber Ruhe und Natur pur. Es ist geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles was man für eine schöne Zeit in Gemeinschaft braucht. Ideal ist sie für 7 Personen, da es 2 Zweibett Zimmer und ein Zimmer mit 3 Einzelbetten gibt, die alle ein eigenes Bad haben. Auf der Terrasse kann man sehr schön frühstücken. Die beiden geben gerne Tipps und Empfehlungen für die Umgebung. Abends konnten wir mit Jean-Luc die Sterne beobachten. Vielen Dank, dass wir bei euch sein konnten, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Propriétaires réactifs en cas de questions et très sympathiques. Magnifique piscine très bien entretenue et un logement typique de la région Provence. Seul bémol était la propreté à l'arrivée et la salle de bain qui devrait être rénové.

Unique location, perfect stay
We stayed in Mas La Boussone at Domaine La Blaque for 14 days. What a charming, robust, large and stylish house it is! It felt like a home, with a great atmosphere. All the rooms, the big kitchen and the nice gardens and terraces outside are like you would hope to find in the Provence/Var. It’s quiet outside, except for the amazing birds. We even had the pleasure hearing a nightingale! And what to think of the butterflies and smells of the rosemary on the path towards the pool. We loved it all. The inviting swimming pool and the sun beds are great! So nice to dive in after being away for the day or just staying there reading a good book and enjoying the view and the lovely weather. Relax and enjoy, that was our recipe. Domaine la Blaque is located in the middle of nowhere, with a challenging road to get there. You need a good car and driving skills, but the reward is there when you reach La Boussone. We love the isolated location and the tranquility. Varages, with a very good boulangerie, is a perfect starting point for trips in the environment, like Gorges du Verdon and Aix en Provence. Caroline and Jean Luc are fine hosts. We didn’t see each other much, but if we had a question they acted quickly. We can highly recommend this place to nature lovers and people who want to feel the Provence atmosphere in their holiday home. Merci bien Caroline & Jean Luc!

Un cocon au cœur de la garrigue
Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cette ancienne bergerie au charme authentique, nichée dans un paysage provençal reposant et inspirant, au milieu du thym parfumant chacune de nos promenades ressourçantes. Merci à Caroline et à Jean-Luc pour leur accueil chaleureux, les pieds sur Terre et la tête dans les étoiles.

Si vous recherchez un lieu calme, reposant en Provence, c'est ici. Soleil, cigales, une large piscine... Des hôtes charmants et attentionnés. Merci à vous deux. La bergerie est à l'écart, vous êtes seuls au monde. La région est riche en découverte, 15 jours n'ont pas suffit ! De bons souvenirs pour toute la famille.

Das Haus inmitten von Natur hat uns sehr gefallen. Gute Einrichtung, alles Nötige da. Schöne Sitzplätze rundum. Den Pool konnten wir wegen kühlem Wetter nicht geniessen. Mit den Treppen ev. nicht für Senioren und kleine Kinder geeignet. Für naturliebende Menschen ideal. Sehr freundliche Vermieter.

Wunderschönes Haus vollkommen ruhig gelegen
Wir haben mit 2 Familien / 7 Personen zwei Wochen in diesem schönen Haus verbracht. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu sehen und zu erleben. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und herzlich und haben uns ganz viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Wir würden auf jeden Fall noch einmal hier unseren Urlaub verbringen, dann vielleicht etwas später im Jahr, wenn man auch den großen Pool nutzen kann. Vielen Dank an Caroline und Jean-Luc!

Sun, privacy and astronomy.
We found this house at short notice after being let down by another property. We definitely landed on our feet, as this is a great property. The house itself is a traditional Provençal place, and is quite rustic, but everything you need is there. It is separated from the owners' house by around 800m up a track, and is therefore very private. The pool is quite large, and was pleasantly warm when we were there - no getting in gradually and shivering! The owners Jean Luc and Caroline are very friendly, and speak excellent English. Jean Luc maintains the pool every other day, and Caroline waters the garden midweek, and they are always on hand at their own house for anything that might be required. Jean Luc is an astronomer and has observatories with several telescopes. I also have an interest in astronomy and spent a couple of nights looking at clusters, galaxies and nebulae. Overall, a great find - we'll be going back!

Great house, fantastic facilities
We really enjoyed our stay. The house had big light rooms, with stone floors that kept cool in the Provençal sun. It was superbly equipped. The swimming pool and tennis court were in perfect condition, I think they look better than the photos. Caroline and John Luc were great hosts and we really enjoyed our evening observing the stars, learning about the night sky with John Luc.

Séjourner à" la Boussone", c'est profiter d'une belle et confortable maison, c'est jouir d'un lieu où la nature est reine, où les parfums se côtoient au gré des heures qui s'écoulent. Provencalischer Charme - perfekt für die Familie
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem besonderen Haus sehr genossen. Umgeben von Natur ohne störenden Lärm konnte sich die ganze Familie wunderbar erholen. Das Haus mit seiner üppigen Bibliothek und den geschmackvoll eingerichteten Räumen hat und den wunderschönen Außensitzplätzen ist schon etwas Besonderes. So lässt sich die Provence wunderbar erleben. Provencalischer Charme - perfekt für die Familie
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Haus inmitten von wunderbarer Natur sehr genossen. Bei perfektem Wetter - nicht zu heiß! - konnte sich die Großfamilie wunderbar entspannen und die Ruhe und Natur genießen. Das Haus hat einen ganz besonderen Charme mit der üppigen Bibliothek, den schönen Außensitzpläten und der gesamten Einrichtung. Wir denken sehr gerne an die schönen Tage dort zurück und können uns gut vorstellen, wieder zu kommen. Herzlichen Dank an Familie Plouvier für die netten Gespräche und die gute Betreuung. Un rêve de tranquillité
Tout était parfait : maison très agréable et confortable aménagée avec goût, joli jardin immédiat plein de recoins à découvrir et où s'installer paresseusement pour lire au soleil (en prime une bibliothèque de rêve!), le tout soigneusement entretenu. Et surtout, le calme, la nature à perte de vue, le bruit des oiseaux le jour et des grenouilles la nuit, l'odeur du thym... Une semaine de retour aux vraies valeurs de la vie, à plus forte raison parce que le lieu se veut écologique, ce qui ne le rend que plus intéressant encore. Nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux de la part de propriétaires disponibles, dont nous gardons un excellent souvenir. Les enfants (4 et 9 ans) ont adoré se promener dans le jardin, sur les chemins, jouer au tennis, reparlent souvent de cette magnifique semaine, et demandent quand nous y retournerons... Ce sera avec grand plaisir ! Une remarque quand même : les chemins très caillouteux du domaine ne se prêtent pas bien au cyclisme, et la déclivité est telle qu'on n'a pas très envie de descendre au village (et surtout de remonter!) à vélo.. Mais sinon, à recommander sans réserve !
