"One of Portofino’s finest hotels. Our private, luxurious, high-ceiling, large room with a balcony overlooking the sea was a total treat. A fairy tale. A short stroll to the bay of Portofino where all the action is on the waterfront. The staff were so friendly and kind, they really took great care of us. We hope to return one summer to take advantage of the hotels own private beach. "

"Great location, amazing views from the sea view rooms, friendly staff, very clean; but it’s not a four stars more like a 3 stars plus. No sound proofing between the rooms, forget sleeping quietly, bath towels are very rough, bath hot water is just mild…nice but for the price could be better"

"This hotel was amazinggg! My bf and I loved the hotel because of its view and also location was great close to the castle and the sightseeing areas. The breakfast was also good. The property is close to the bus station as well. The only thing I didnt like was the bed which were two beds they connect to each other. Other than that loved this hotel"

"We had a lovely stay at this flat close to a lot of attractions. Food shop close enough & choice for self catering and flat had enough pans plates glasses etc. We were met by the owners Father who was a lovely man, who helped me with my case and showed us where everything was. It was perfect for our 4 night stay with 2 teenage boys."

"This is our second time staying here. This trip was for 14 days. It’s a fantastic apartment in an amazing location. So close to everywhere either by walking, metro or bus! It has a lift which comes in handy! It feels like home and I can’t wait until we have another opportunity to return! The apartment is clean and the owner is very helpful with any questions you may have!"

"It is a 10 minute walk from the metro and big fountain. As you walk to and from, you are literally walking through its fine shopping strip. Very safe and bustling area. Moreover, the concierge was quite friendly and had great city recommendation and directions. The room was spaceous and very clean, had mostly everything you needed with a great bed and shower. I haven't had a good hotel stay in a while till this one."

Fantastic stay!

The hotel offers three restaurants, and the one I dined at was absolutely lovely. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere added to the experience. My room was exceptionally spacious, with a large bathroom, plenty of fresh linen and towels, and top-quality toiletries. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like a great selection of coffee and tea, as well as a well-stocked fridge. The balcony was a perfect spot to relax and watch the world go by. One of the highlights of Mare Hotel is its direct access to the beach, making it incredibly convenient for a seaside escape. The town center is just a 20-minute walk away, easily reachable via the road or a scenic stroll along the beach. As a female traveler, I felt completely safe throughout my stay. The hotel’s environment is secure and welcoming. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Savona."
