GG's House

Please refer to the pictures provided of each room to see the quality and decor of GG's house. Burnt Bridge Creek Trail is one block south of GG's. This shared-use trail is about 8 miles long and follows an asphalt path that is well maintained with restrooms, parks and play structures along the way. It is a nature area that is quit and passes through a variety of landscapes including open grasslands and heavily wooded areas. Vancouver Lake is eleven miles to the west. Portland Airport is about 20 minutes or eight miles over the I-205 bridge. GG's is about three miles from the I-205 Highway and two miles to Vancouver Mall. Peace Health NW Hospital is one mile up the hill from GG's. Please be sure to see House Rules under Review Rules and Policies when booking.

Wonderful Stay
3 of us stayed at this house while working in town. Best thing was how well it was stocked. We forgot some sandwich baggies and our host showed us what drawer they were in. The check in and check out procedures were just a bit cumbersome and time consuming but the hosts were very thorough and made sure that we understood everything.

Hula Trip
Came to Vancouver for a hula festival. So enjoyed staying at Gigi's House. Hosts were cordial, helpful and fun! For our group the size was perfect. 15 minutes from everywhere we needed to go. Would stay there again.

Good for family
Very friendly hosts. Well furnished in stocked home, it's very comfortable and relaxing. Good location between waterfront, major transportation links, shopping centers, fairgrounds. I understand and recognize the need for effective policies for check-in and check out, but for some people Janie's process might can be considered a little over the top. Overall she and Don do a wonderful job at providing clean and comfortable facilities.

Cheaper and cleaner than Portland
This place was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. We didn't run out of hot water or towels. We loved the big open kitchen and played games at the table. It was a great place to spend quality family time.

Janinne and Don are amazing hosts. We came to visit family down from Tacoma,WA. They did an in person check in and walked us thru the entire house. It has amazing history about Grandma GG and many historical photos from her. One thing to note is the hosts live right next door and are available for any issues. I would not hesitate staying here in the future. Thank you Jenine & Don for making our stay as smooth as possible!!!

Family Get Together
The property was a home, very clean and very well appointed. Very much a home away from home. The owner was very prompt when addressing any issues. However, the 30 minute “check-in” was overly arduous and very particular about how everything from recycling to using cookware had to be done. Including laminated instructions and a binder. Unfortunately this trip was not a vacation for our family. I did not feel the host respected our family’s privacy and need to grieve at a very sad time in our lives. I would not stay at this location again, as the host’s expectations felt overly intrusive.

Bed and Breakfast Feel
This stay had more of a Bed and Breakfast feel to it in that we had direct contact with our hosts. Usually, it doesn't matter what time we come in at night. We just punch the code in and go to bed. The hosts, Don and Judy, expect to meet you with a green and white umbrella to direct you to the house and give you a personal tour of the place. They also ask you to take a family picture by GG's photo which wierded some of my family out. They also inspect the property before you leave to make sure you didn't forget anything. We would have left a baby spin top and a stretchy hair tie if they had not. If you are okay with this personal contact, this is a great fit!

Great place!
GG's house is very cozy, and a comfortable place to be with family, really good beds, lots of space, the kitchen has the basic essentials spices oil to cook, and good coffee. Don and Janie are great hosts they helped us in everything we needed regarding the house.
