An enjoyable stay with a bumpy start
This is a lovely apartment, modern, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The day before we arrived, the host notified us of a problem with the building's hot water system, indicating that we would have limited access to hot water the first two days of our five day stay. To be clear, this was a building wide problem, not a defect in the apartment. The host was accommodating and we negotiated a suitable arrangement. Once the hot water returned, we could not have been happier with the unit. The neighborhood is a bit "gritty " but walking a block from the entrance puts you in perfectly fine territory.

Owner cancelled while we were waited at the door with our luggage
If you dont want a one night booking, then just dont accept one. We stood in human piss of the homeless outside the door and one minute before checkin time, the owner cancelled. Ruined the day for sure.

Great host and apartment
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was easy to check in and out of and it was very clean and well supplied. The location is also great but we would comment that it can be exposed to the homeless issue in Vancouver. Depending on the time of day and where you are there can be multiple homeless people (mostly harmless) nearby

The property was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend people to stay there. On the other hand the neighborhood has a large amount of homelessness and drug addiction but there is a police presence.
