The bed was comfortable, but I've had waffles thicker than the pillows. I don't know how anyway can rate this with a 10. The room was dark and gloomy the shower has absolutely no light so you're showering in the dark , they were dead flies in the window sill as well as it being dirty. Gaps around the entrance door. I was not comfortable staying in this room..

Desert Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, friendly, covenient and the price is right! The bed was comfortable. Usually I don’t like window air conditioners but this one was quiet and efficient- warmed the room in about 2 minutes. It’s an old-fashion style motel which is nice because it’s easy to unload suitcases for the night. Definitely would stay there again.

We stay here a couple times a year. This time there were a number of small upgrades to the room and linen that added to our comfort. Very clean room, comfortable bed, and friendly service from the family who own it. They remember us and give us the same room every time.

The Good: friendly staff, clean room, decent bed, PRICE, close parking, fairly spacious The So-So: out-dated paint scheme and carpet, small TV, very little clothes-hanging space, front desk not staffed 24/7. The Bad: the door knob lock did not work either manually or by key. The dead bolt lock above the knob engaged by turning the lever from within the room, but not from the outside by using a key. We stop in Van Horn just to sleep / break up a twenty hour drive, so we were satisfied with our stay at this motel. It's clean, inexpensive, minimalistic lodging.

Lovely stay, well maintained for an almost historic place. Definitely captures the vibe of a small town in a nice structure. I enjoyed mysay. Walls seem thicker than the newer inns and hotels.

Old fashioned park at the door motel. Room was a bit small but it was very cozy & comfortable. Clean and quiet with few amenities, yet no complaints. Takes me back many years in memories and enjoyed our stay. Management cordial and helpful.

What a great little jewel for just an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable and all in good repair. Furniture is dated but bed and sheets are comfortable. Sheets seemed new. Tile in the bathroom shower was new and spotless. I would definitely recommend if you are just needing a place to sleep and get back in the road. All the necessities.

Just Fair
We stayed one night on a road trip. Did not want anything fancy, and it was totally not. Relatively clean, surfaces were not wiped down. Could use some maintenance inside the room, broken tiles, too much furniture, TV reception was very grainy, and an off putting smell. A benefit you can park right in front of your room.
