An incredibly bad experience
We booked this apartment the night before our arrival. The next morning I got an email in Spanish asking when we were arriving. I replied in English. We arrived a few hours later and the concierge contacted the owner by phone. Although this was all in Spanish it appeared we had no booking! The word “gringos” was definitely used in the conversation between the owner and the concierge. We insisted that we did and were told to wait for the owner. About an hour later the owner turned up and continued to deny our booking but eventually he agreed that we did have one. We were taken to the apartment and had to pay in US cash. No receipt was given. We weren’t given the wifi password – instead he typed it into our phones to connect us. The apartment was nice with a lovely view but it was all the things it didn’t have that made this a disaster of a place to stay. No toilet paper, no soap, no hair dryer, no microwave, no freezer space in the fridge, no matches to light the gas cooktop. The oven did work but was filthy. Basically, not suitable for basic sanitation and cooking. Don’t spoil your holiday by staying here.
