"Casa Gerrari 406 is an eclectic small old hotel with mucho character and charm. And the price is extremely reasonable. Rooms are on the small side but everything works and the service from Marco and his staff make you feel like a guest and friend. Parking is street only, and the streets are narrow and steep, so plan accordingly. There are several small museums within short walking distance, and the old downtown, more museums, and walking tour guides are within longer walking distance. Marco also recommended several very good restaurants to us within easy walking distance. "

"I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel and property enough! The pictures do not do it justice. What a gorgeous slice of paradise Don Rodrigo and his lovely wife have created. The staff and grounds crew are amazing! The pools (outdoor and indoor), wood fired hot tubs, saunas, restaurant, gardens, rooms, the hiking trails behind the hotel, the wine tasting in Casablanca Valley, love, love, love!! "Friendly staff, exceptionally clean hostal. For budget travelers looking to find a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay I highly recommend La Joya. The front desk staff speak English and Spanish. My stay included breakfast and it was well worth the additional fee. I also ate in the attached restaurant one evening and the portion was enormous and the food was delicious. There was a rooftop balcony that works well if you are a remote worker or just want to relax and meet fellow travelers at the end of the day. The rooftop balcony is spacious, spotlessly, clean, and has lovely views of the city."
