Boutique hotel in the middle of wine country. The staff were fantastic and so welcoming. You may want a rugged car to reach it, as the roads are a little tough.

Wonderful place to stay in the Valle! Quite, clean, and feels like home. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. The bread was still warm. Owner is beyond nice and make us feel like family.

Felipe and the staff were extremely hospitable. The rooms have a rustic comfort with many amenities and the property is quaint and easy to access. We occupied the four rooms/casitas so we had the whole place to ourselves! They even have a couple of friendly dogs who would love treats (so bring some for your arrival!)

We had an amazing stay at Casa Michaus. Felipe was awesome and greeted us upon arrival and was responsive whenever we had any questions. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. For breakfast they brought to our room warm fig bread and yogurt parfait, the bread was amazing and such a nice touch! The property is completely gated so we felt very safe, also two dogs on property that were friendly as well! The Location was really good and close to a lot of food spots and winery. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

This property has been so beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Philippe was so hospitable and warm, he made us feel like we were at home. We had an outdoor fire one night and in the mornings I sat on the private deck and meditated. The outdoor shower was incredible and the grounds were impeccable. I can’t wait to visit again once the pool is finished in a few months. I can’t say enough good things about Casa Michaus.

Owner and staff were perfect, you get a remote to open gate from street and park inside compound, two big dogs will insure your car is safe and secure! Small pool and sitting area outside are nice. If you like modern architecture, you will be happy. Dirt roads also mean you will need a carwash when you get home, but its worth it. Did I mention the outside shower option? 2 showers in your room, try the outside one! Fresh bread and juice brought to you in the morning was a nice touch. Nice bedding too in rooms. I don't often do a review but this one is as close to a 10 as you can get in the Valle.

I am beyond happy with my stay at Casa Michaus. Felipe is so kind, he made sure that we were not only happy with our stay, but helped us find a driver to our event, had great restaurant/things to do recommendations and was always available to answer any questions. A little about the place: it’s private and small, so you won’t have too many neighbors being rowdy. The room itself is so gorgeous. You have an indoor and outdoor private shower, trust me, the outdoor shower was great! Every morning they bring freshly made fig bread that is delicious. There is an espresso machine in the room and a fridge. Felipe provides ponchos, slippers and robes, and since it got cold at night, we ended up using the ponchos to be outside, that was definitely a plus. There is a bench in every porch but there is also a fire pit outside with seating. Overall it felt safe, private and very relaxing
