We stayed during my girlfriends birthday, and without asking, they delievered a birthday cake and bottle of champagne to our room, without any charge. It made our day. "Salema is so very beautiful. Our villa had three different levels to view the town including a spiral staircase to the rooftop which was perfect for viewing the star-filled sky as well as gorgeous sunrise over the water. The beach is a short walk away and there is a wonderful local pastry shop run by Marta (I believe that was her name) not too far away with very reasonable and delicious baked goods. The only negative was that our next door neighbors were loud (but it was also New Year’s Eve so it was understandable). We really loved our stay besides that. Welcoming the new year in Salema and spending the first day of the new year at the beach was a perfect start to 2025. "
