"It was ok for the price we paid. There was some complications trying to contact the host to arrange check in but we got in ok on arrival . Room was ok, quite basic , no facilities to make a hot drink. There was not much loo roll provided for 2 nights Relying on public transport, it was a fair walk to town on rough path right by main road "

"Great place with wonderful views. Road to get there was a little rough but we managed fine in our van. Could really do with better air conditioning as the room on the top floor was uncomfortably warm. But great outdoor area for socialising with a bbq. Washing machine for clothes was very useful and airing racks are provided. Thank you for having us. We enjoyed our stay."

"The most amazing hotel I’ve ever been to- beautiful relaxing amazing spa- and the food!!! And I’m so problematic with food usually but wow! Horrible horrible room! Did not clean because apparently I need to ask specialty in the reception which they did not tell me but whatever. The pillow are not humanly possible to sleep on, it’s like a brick - beside that perfect - just never agree to be in a room that is like an attics with uneven roof."

"Great place to stay while visiting Bran and Zarnesti. Staff were incredibly friendly, and took very good care of us. Even played me and my friend off, as we left, with our new favorite Romanian song, “Lady” by Sandy Ciorba… which we had been dancing to out on the balcony :) Food was also excellent, and the lamb stew with polenta was one of the best dishes I had in Romania. Getting in the driveway to park is a bit of a pain, but we did finally make it. Trick was to swing wide and to turn in from the opposite side of the street. "

"The staff was very friendly and polite. They made me feel welcome, not like I was a stranger ! The location of the hotel is a pretty area, something out of a postcard. Had a wonderful time !!"

"I stayed here only 2 nights. the place itself is beautiful overlooking the mountain . Place was clean and vey comfortable. breakfast is very good and so is dinner. Now for the negative no receptionist to welcome you. If you go late you stay outside. Too many bus loads of hikers stay there and they are catered to 1st Since i did not get a paper of when to check out i did not know. If you want to stay an extra day and pay they will not accommodate. They open pool at 11:00a when people check out!!! so nobody uses as it closes 8:00p at night. So after a tiring day at the castles pool is closed. They must get more staff and they should be more nicer to the solo travelers not just the bus loads. "

"The owners went out of their way to provide any service they can to make the stay enjoyable. They went above and beyond by doing some laundry then refused any payment. I was extremely grateful because we were running out of clean clothes. The rooms were amazing. The restaurant provided one of the finest meals we had during our trip. The property was tranquil and relaxing."
