"We have just returned from a truly wonderful week staying at the Auberge. From the moment we arrived, to our very early departure, all staff members went out of their way to assist us; whether making arrangements to collect us from the bus station, to booking tickets on our behalf, or offering recommendations on places to visit. This hotel feels like a genuine family-run affair with a sensitivity to guests needs without being intrusive. The hotel itself is well located on the outskirts of the busier resort of Courmayeur. It has a quaint charm about it, with cosy places to snuggle by the fire and a well-designed pool and spa. The rooms are presented to a high standard with plenty of space to hang clothes and to sit and soak up the views. Breakfast included a variety of hot and cold options, and staff were willing to accommodate our dietary needs, with nothing being too much trouble (vegetarian). The on-call shuttle bus to Courmayeur and the various ski lifts was a real bonus and we took much enjoyment in the stories/conversations we had with the staff throughout our trips. The ease of distance to Mont Blanc cable car was a particular highlight. My only hesitation in recommending this property is that it will be fully-booked when we try and return!!!! "We stayed in a few other properties while in Courmayeur and absolutely fell in love with Chalet Svizzero . It was so warm and welcoming. The alpine aesthetic set the tone along with a fire in the central living room fireplace and Johnson pouring drinks from the charming bar. Breakfast,skiing,spa and a nightcap at the bar- all delightful! We will definitely be back ! Thank you all! The Carroll family"
