"I was there in the final week of the season, with the Residence mostly full, the hotel section closed, and minimal staff (Pierre really was our knight in shining armour), but the experience was still excellent. We were looked after extremely well, and the room, facilities, and pastry deliveries were all first class. Highly recommended!"

"I travelled to the Tourotel expecting the worst given a lot of the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised and can only suggest those giving such poor reviews haven't stayed in ski accommodation before or hadn't looked at any of the photos. "I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois D’Or. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. They were surprised we didn't travel with towels (apparently this is a think in Europe). They charged us 18 Euros for one towel that we then had to share between 4 people for the week. "Considering the price, the place is ok. However, be aware that the host will not respond calls/messages when staying, and the water heater can often not handle 10 people showering a day. Also the ski locker fits max 4 pairs of skis"
